A/N This is based off a one shot I wrote when I was 14. The first and last chapter may be recognizable if you go back and read that.

Disclaimer: All recognizable characters or settings belong to JKR, mother of all things Harry Potter related.

His ice-blue eyes make contact with yours as you sit down at the table across the hall from him. You give him a weak smile before the words that your father spoke to you five years ago rush to your mind.

You're not supposed to like him. You have to think to yourself. Your meant to beat him in all your classes, not fancy him.

Your friends pull you out of your thought by calling your name repeatedly, you still cant help but glance at Scorpius every three minutes or so though.

You make eye contact, blush then look away. It happens at every meal, every day, for the first month of school. You find your self getting to breakfast early so you can watch him out of the corner of your eye, as he enters the great hall and walks to his seat. You let out a sigh, immediately regretting it because the hall is starting to fill up and anyone could have heard you.

No one did.

No one but me that is.

I sit, watching you watch him, wishing you would watch me instead.

After he's done eating, Scorpius glances up at you and smiles then leaves; You follow, so do I.

You make your way down to the quidditch pitch, sit in the stands, and take out a book. You don't even pretend to read it.

No one even notices you.

No one but me that is.

You're watching the Slytherins practice and I'm watching you. It's our usual Sunday routine. You watch him and I watch you. We don't acknowledge each other. In fact, most days you don't even notice me.

I'm just a shadow, an faint echo; no one notices me. You're Rose Weasley; everyone knows you.

A/N Chapters will get longer as I go. I hope you enjoy
