Just a little epilogue to go along with some Marauder fan fiction that I will soon be writing.
James Potter wasn't the kind that sat alone. He'd always had friends, lots of them. But, there he was, alone in his compartment. The older kids were nice to him at home, yeah, but now that they were in school, everything was different. No big bad third year would be caught dead with a little first year.
So, James sat alone.
Sirius Black wasn't the kind that was on time. He was late for family dinners and parties all the time. But this, Hogwarts, was his one and only chance to get away from the family he avoided so often. The Hogwarts express wouldn't wait for him to finally show up and give him a stern talking to, the train would leave him.
So, Sirius was on time.
Remus Lupin wasn't the kind that took chances. He had learned not to the hard way. But, he knew the headmaster was giving him an opportunity that he never expected a boy like him to have. He knew that he had to try to fit in with the other kids and maybe even trust some of them, the way Dumbledore was trusting him.
So, Remus took a chance.
Peter Pettigrew wasn't the kind that lied. He was a good boy; his mother had always said so. But, this was friendship on the line. He could have real friends if he just told this one little fib. This little white lie could save him from so many lonely school years.
So, Peter lied.
