Where Loyalty Lies

Summary: Donald and Goofy make it clear to Ruki who they were going with. Takes Place After Kingdom Hearts 3D

"We aren't going with you."
Those were the first words that came out of Donald's month when they were alone. Ruki stopped and turned around to see Donald with his arms folded across his chest.
"What?" He said.
"I said that we aren't going with you," Donald said.
He couldn't tell if the duck was mad or determined. Maybe, it was a little of both. Sora and the King were much better at telling Donald's mood than he was.
"I think what Donald is trying to say is that we are going with Sora," Goofy said with a nod.
He stared at them for a moment. He didn't quite know why Donald and Goofy said such a thing. Of course, they would go with Sora unless they were going with King Mickey for something.
"Uh…okay?"
Donald and Goofy gave each other a look.
"Ugrk…I don't think he gets it, Donald," Goofy said.
"I don't think he gets it either," Donald replied.
They were right. He didn't get what they were talking about. Goofy turned back around and stared at him.
"I think what Donald is trying to say that you may be the True Keyblade Master and all. Donald and me talked about it and we decided that we are going with Sora," Goofy said as he looked down at his fingers.
His mind drifted to a time that King Mickey ordered them to follow the Keyblade Master. First, Sora and much to their unwillingness…him until their loyalty and friendship to Sora were more important than following their King's orders.
"And what if…King Mickey orders to follow me again?" He asked.
Donald and Goofy looked each other again.
"Well…we are just going to have to resubmit…"
"No…the word is resigned!"
"That is what I said and hope that King Mickey won't be too mad at us," Goofy said as he scratched his head.
"Right!" Donald said as he nodded his head.
"I'm sure that he will understand. He knows how important that it is for us to stick together," Goofy said.
"And keep Sora out of trouble!" Donald said.
"Yup." Goofy said with a smile.
He was fighting his own smile from his face. A part of him is envious of the friendship that these three share. No, he did have such friendships but this was different and unique. Donald, Goofy and Sora have been through a lot together. It showed. Donald and Goofy weren't too pleased with Sora going into the trails by himself. Another part of him was warmed by it. He was glad that Sora had someone to watch his back when he wasn't there.
They were right. Sora did get himself into trouble.
"You two have quite a task ahead of you then," He said as a smile finally escaped.
"Yup but don't worry. If you need help, we come a running. Even Sora is our bestest friend, you are still our friend too," Goofy said with a smile.
"That is right," Donald said.
Now, he could see why Sora had such a soft spot for these two. They say those types of things and it just. The words and feelings got caught in his throat but he hoped two words could express what he was feeling and they would understand.
"Thank you."
With their smiles, he knew that they did.

A/N: I am playing Kingdom Heart 2.5. I forgot how much I love the trio. I totally have the idea of writing Sora telling Goofy and Donald that they have to stay behind in 3D. Probably will. Read and Review if you wish.
