John signed as he looked out the window, watching the rain pour over the city. John heard a knock on his door and sighing again he got up and answered the door.
"Hey John" Fin said stepping into the apartment.
"What do you want?" John asked irritated.
"I just wanted to see how you were doing"
"I'm doing fine"
"Don't give me that shit"
"What do you want from me?" John snapped "there's nothing I can do, because I was so stupid I lost the only women who ever mattered to me and now I'm stuck here with you on New Years Eve"
"No, because you're such a grumpy old man, afraid of being happy because you think that anytime you are something bad happens, you lost the only women whose ever mattered to you"
"You can leave now" John said opening the door.
"Fine, you can push everyone away and blame them for you mistakes, but it's because you're afraid. I just want you to know one thing instead of sitting here and feeling sorry for yourself, you could be getting the women you love back" and with that Fin left.
Olivia woke to loud knocking on her door. "John" she said once she realized who it was. "What are you doing here?"
"I'm sorry, I'm so sorry. I can't stand being away from you anymore, I love you and I'm even more sorry that it took Fin to tell me how stupid I've been acting. I was afraid" Olivia smiled and pulled John into a breathtaking kiss.
"Come inside, your drenched. Oh and John"
"Yeah?"
"Happy New Year" she smiled before pulling John with her toward the bed room.
