/sorry for it being a bit OOC... critiques are welcome!/
"Carlos!~" Cecil squealed (as though a girl) as he ran over to the man mentioned (who was leaning against Cecil's car). It was always a surprise for Cecil to see Carlos at any given time during the day as he is usually locked away, working on some kind of experiment. It was an especially big surprise today because there wasn't anything special going on. It wasn't Cecil's birthday or their 6 month anniversary (let alone 3-month), Carlos was just visiting. Carlos was just...there (checking in as he called it).
"Hey there." Carlos said, scruffing his friends (boyfriends) hair, with a relieved tone tattooed onto himself (though there was nothing to really be relieved for). "How's your day gone?" Carlos finished, hesitating on the 'aw' sound (o) in gone just the tiniest bit.
"Wonderful!" Cecil replied, "There's been a new rule cast in Night Vale that I had to deliver today! Your not allowed to be out after or up before 3:00 am each day! I think this one'll finally stop that bloody maniac that always bangs on my window and casts enchantments around my land!"
"I meant..out of the radio station.." Carlos said.
"Oh. Well that's still pretty good." Cecil said, "But you're always locked away. I'd really like to see you more you know… Last time I saw you was when you ran out of your lab with your eye spewing blood looking for a towel. Then there was a nasty burn on your eye, and you wouldn't tell me anything about it!"
"You really wanted to know? I thought that it'd freak you out." Carlos replied, a little bit dumbstruck.
"I'm supposed to SUPPORT YOU! I don't care if it may gross me out! I want to be the person how hold a wet rag over your eye when it's burnt! You need to tell me everything! Even all the meaningless things that you may think are dumb!"
"Everything? But that would take all day!" Carlos replied, trying his very hardest to lighten the mood (if only just a bit). Cecil apparently didn't like that.
"STOP JOKING AROUND!" Cecil yelled, borderline on tears, "I really care about us, so why do you always got to be so secretive?! Don't you sometimes feel like you wants to tell someone about yourself? About what goes on in your life?' Cecil paused and took a minute to make his tone more relaxed, "From now on will you please try to tell me everything baby? I want to know. Heck! Come see me at work if you ever have anything to say! You're much more important!"
"Okay..I will…" Carlos said, then decided to try and lighten the mood one last time (feeling the meaningful conversation was over) "Cecil? Is there anywhere that you can get ice cream in NIghtVale? I was doing this experiment today and i really started craving some."
"Yes baby, drive back home. I'll bring you some."
