At the end of the game...

Our hero hugged Hatty with a goofy grin, but Hatty just stayed completely motion and emotionless. What used to be a smile was now just a straight line; his face was streaked with tears instead of happiness. He wasn't talking. He wasn't moving. He wasn't responding to anything or anyone. He was an utter and complete vegetable.

He was just the shell of a man with nothing inside. The king of friendship was only a memory now...

Then the waves thrashed to and fro, fro and to! The S.S Friendship was rocking from side to side, and Hatty, unable to defend himself, was thrown overboard by the violent side to side motion of the ship. SPLASH! He sank down to the depths of the ocean passing fish and animals. He sank all the way down, still emotionless. His hat sank with him. Then Hatty reached the bottom of the ocean, and landed with a barely audible thud. Then something came down too. It was the hat! Still glowing with a eerie veil of red, it landed on Hatty's head. Poor Hatty . . . he will be missed. Oh wait! Something's happening! Oh no, nevermind. WAIT! YES IT IS!

The hat shook violently, almost as violently as the very ship that had thrown him overboard. Look! The hat was changing! What was once an eerie, red, bloody, death-glow was now a bright, grassy-green glow! It's brighter than a gem - and prettier, too. Suddenly the hat stopped shaking and a laser of the most brilliant green emitted from the top of the hat. Hatty flew through the water, into the air and up, up, up! He flew to space and farther! Boy, he had to tell his friends about it! They would all be so jealous . . .

"I wish I could have been there! Wow, space! Take me with you next time!" They say. Anyway, after passing the stars in the sky, he stopped flying and went down, down, down, faster and faster as he fell. He entered Earth's atmosphere like a fireball - 'cause he was on fire, see? Somehow not dying or losing the hat, he reached Earth. He was in the middle of nowhere, lost in a desert. But wait - it's not the middle of nowhere - there's a road! And look - there's a sign - and lights!

A sign in the distance read: "WELCOME TO LAS VEGAS." Hooray - I love Las Vegas!

But how will Hatty get back to his friends?
