Streaming through the open windows, sunlight glowed and shone on Ken. The sunlight seemed to make a glowing aura surround the brunette making him look almost... angelic. His brown hair was disarrayed and messy, his brown eyes were warm with affection as he cared for the red roses. His hands gently arranged the beautiful crimson flowers making sure each flower had its own space. A proud smile graced his face as he looked down upon his perfect arrangement.
" You seem to take extra care of the roses, Kenken." The blonde casonova sauntered up to the register, his trademark smirk on his handsome features. Yohji was wearing his sunglasses(as usual), a pair of black leather pants, and a short sleeved shiny blue shirt. His black boots clicked as he kicked the counter nonchalantly as he waited for Ken's comeback.
" And what of it, Yotan? Mad 'cause I don't care for cattleyas[1]?" Ken snorted and carried the vase to the backroom.
"Oh, Ken! You wound me!" Yohji striked a dramatic pose and a fake sob passed through his lips.
"Knock it off Yohji-kun!" A boyish voice entered the shop. Omi grinned and waved to Ken--his silent greeting--and tied his light blue apron around his waist and walked over to the arrangements. " You can go now, Ken-kun. Your shift for the day is done.."
Ken nodded eagerly and quickly removed his apron. " Do you know where..Aya is?"
A look of amusement made its way on Yohji's face and the older man grinned. "Why do you care, eh Ken?"
Pink stained Ken's face as he stuttered. " I-I-It's none of y-your business, Yohji!" Ken frowned and shook his head at the blonde. " I know you are worried about me, *mommy*!" Ken teased as he thew his apron at Yohji.
" Hey!!"
Feeling satisfied, Ken exited the Koneko and felt the cold breeze whish by. A smiled danced among his lips as he rubbed his arms in an attempt to warm them. " Gee..It's so cold.." He muttered to himself and unconciously kicked a small rock on the sidewalk.
He continued to walk comtemlpating his feelings for the silent red head. Whenever Aya was near him..he'd feel his knees go weak and his mouth go dry. He became flustered and clumsy and red in the face. ' Why do I feel so..nervous around him?'
' Do..I..love..Aya?'
