The closer the plane got to the states the longer it felt like she had to get there. Her pulse became quicker the closer to Reagan Inter. airport, the tighter the ache in her chest became. She had come to realize over Booth and her separation that her pulse rate which she knew could be controlled by the release of chemicals in the brain caused by human emotion. Were caused by him, he had controlled her heart rate, she had thought about him more so then she thought she would on the island and when Daisy mentioned his name, just his name the ache in her chest became a bit tighter.

She had become tired of waiting, she saw his smile, his eyes and imagined much more. One year of constantly thinking of one person. It was frustrating, especially when you knew that person was beautiful on the outside as well on the in-symmetry is always pleasing to the eye, but knowing someone-being inside their mind and letting them be inside yours. Having an emotional connection as well, let's just say she was ready to let out the secret she had come to acknowledge. The one she had been withholding in her heart she wanted to let it out as soon as she saw the person whose name made her pulse pick up.

All she wanted this year was to see him, she didn't need or want anything else and the fact he was coming home as well. She was never happier to have had the earth rotate fully around the sun, now if only the damn plane would touch down. She soon found herself weaving in and out of people she had picked up her luggage which seemed like it was the last damn bag on the conveyor belt-she actually prayed to a God she didn't believe in that it wasn't lost so she didn't have to take up more time to report the missing luggage.

Once it was in her hand she silently and quickly took a cab and as she sat in the backseat she was so overwhelmed with every emotion she almost felt a bit of gloss in eyes that never cried-it was excitingly new and she decided she liked the emotion. She exited the cab and walked to the coffee cart luggage in hand she hadn't even bothered to drop it off at her place.

Her eyes dart around for the familiar figure. Stopping and inhaling ever the slightest when she saw him still in his fatigues sitting on the steps of the Lincoln memorial her chest was tighter then when she heard the roar of the plane touching down and she stood staring. Finally, her legs started to function and she started to walk toward him as he did to her everything faded away as they met in the center. Their eyes were the only thing that spoke, he let his hand lay on her cheek and she lean into his touch.

She raise her hand up and place it over his slowly it fell from her face and her hand ended up touching his it wasn't enough. As, they stare into one another eyes her fear almost completely gone taken over by excitement she felt his lips on hers and she didn't push him away. No, she run her hands through the short hair at the base of his neck pulling him closer as her other hand caressed his face the kiss first soft and sensual soon turned into a need- a battle of dominance and passion-I need you now...you're home, you're really here. Parting, she collapses into him his chest a safe warm haven as he engulfed her in an embrace. The center had held.
