I am Sunstar. My journey to be the leader I am now was harsh. This is the journey I took.
I snuggled closer to Mommy and my brother. It was cold very cold.
"Mommy why is it so cold?" I asked.
"Sunkit it is leaf bare. Leaf bare is very cold." Mommy answered.
"Oh…" I sighed.
"Now go to sleep little one. Every day brings new miracles." whispered Mommy.
"Sunkit!" yelled my brother
I covered my head and said "What Brackenkit?"
"Let's go play, Moonfur said we could outside!" he excitedly yelled.
Outside! Moonfur never let us outside of the nursery. I yowled "I'm coming.".
As soon as I ran outside I bumped into somebody.
"Hey, I thought I told you… Oh, sorry Sunkit I thought you were Cloudpaw." Explained Stonepelt.
"It's ok I ran into you" I said before running off.
"Brackenkit where…" I yelled but before I could finish I was throw to the ground.
"Stay down Shawdowclan warrior!" Brackenkit growled playfully.
I threw him off "No fair I wasn't ready." I complained. Too late he jumped onto me again. We tumbled around camp until we crashed
right into Flameheart, my father.
"If you kits are going to be apprentices you will have to stop being a ball of fur." he scolded gently but I could see him trying not laugh.
I saw my mother coming over.
"Kits will be kits" said Moonfur with a smile. Flameheart walked over to Moonfur and nuzzled her gently and licked our heads.
Before leaving he said "I am going hunting would you like to go with me Moonfur?" Flameheart asked.
"I would love to but what about Brackenkit and Sunkit?" fretted Moonfur.
"Whitebird can watch them." said Flameheart.
"Alright, I'll go ask Whitebird." Moonfur said a little worried. When Moonfur left Flameheart told us he would let us try
mouse if he caught some.
"Yes, please." we said at the same time. Before he could answer I saw Moonfur coming.
"Come on Flameheart I want to go hunting. I don't want to be long because Brackenkit or Sunkit might want milk and…."
She didn't finish because Flameheart told her
it would be fine. I watched them walk away but just as they got to the tunnel. Shawdowclan warriors burst into the camp
yowling the start of a battle. I was ready to fight
but then I heard Whitebird.
"Let's go to the nursery ok." she said softly. I followed her but then I heard Brackenkit yowl. He was
laying on the ground
blood everywhere. I ignored Whitebird and ran over to him.
"Brackenkit wake up." I cried out.
He just said "I will miss you Sunkit."
I answered him "Me too." Before I blacked out.
