A knock sounded on the door to Darren's hotel room. He closed out of his Twitter and set his laptop down on the bed. He let out a long breathe as he stood and walked toward the door. He opened it hesitantly, hoping it wasn't one of those crazy fans he always thought were out to kill him or stab him or something.
He sighed in half relief to find Chris Colfer outside of his room. He knew he would have confronted him sooner or later.
"Hey!" Darren greeted as cheerfully as possible, putting on his signature puppy dog face.
Chris couldn't help but smile back at his friend.
"Hi," he replied, coming off a bit nervous, "Can I come in?"
Darren sighed dramatically and leaned against the doorframe, his arms crossed.
"I don't know… What's the password?"
Chris rolled his eyes and pushed his way past him, jokingly.
"We need to talk," the pale boy began once Darren closed the door. Chris rested a hand on his hip and turned toward him, his face stern, "about the skit tonight."
Darren threw himself on his bed. It stunned Chris how a man could have so much energy all of the time. The hazel eyed boy sat up and looked at him with a confused expression.
"What about it?"
"You kissed me." He replied, seriously.
"On the contrary, Chris, it was Blaine that kissed Kurt."
Chris nodded.
"Oh, really?"
Darren nodded as if it was the most obvious thing in the world.
"Yeah, I was totally in character."
"Well, why didn't you tell me beforehand?"
Darren laughed lightly.
"Why didn't you tell me before you made those plates or before you brought out that furry hat thing?"
Chris jaw hung open.
"What are you trying to say?"
Darren rose to his feet and walked up to Chris so that he was standing right in front of him.
"You've spent all this time trying to crack me with all this ridiculous stuff when all I had to do was just plant one on ya'."
Chris stared at him incredulously.
"So, what I'm trying to say is… I win." He smiled smugly at those last two words and stuck out his tongue.
Chris scoffed and turned towards the door.
"Screw you." He muttered, not looking back as he walked down the hall.
"Love you, too!" Darren shouted back with a broad grin.
