"You have to promise not to look back, not until you've passed through the tunnel." (Direct quote from movie)

"But why," Chihiro asked.

"Just go," Haku said through a strained voice.

Chihiro took a step but turned back and threw her arms around Haku. He didn't hug back though. If he had, his strong mien would have cracked. They looked one last look at each other. Haku's green eyes gazed down at the stone step, one lone tear slid down his cheek.

"Go," he said, unwilling to let her see him cry.

"Goodbye, Haku."

Chihiro took a step onto the green grass and she walked away; but she looked back. What she saw* made the hardest moment of her life. She slid down, onto the soft grass and cried. She cried with her Romeo. He was so close, but worlds apart. They could not be together and it was a burden of a thousand tons.

*I assume you know I meant Haku crying.

Okay, so this was a really short story, but I hoped you enjoyed it. Comments are appreciated.
