The moonlight shone in through the cracks in the curtains as Arthur slept softly in his bed. Someone was standing over him, casting an eeries shadow. Her fingers reached out to touch the skin of the slumbering King. He didn't wake but just moaned slightly to the touch. A toothy grin spread over the woman's face. She came her to complete her mission and that's just what she's do. Taking in a deep breath a raspy noise erupted from her mouth. "Gwir gariad eu gweld gan olau bore. Dim gwrthwynebiad i eich emosiynau, Arthur Pendragon."

A white light floated from out of the woman's mouth and into Arthur's. The King grumbled for a second before rolling over in his sleep and sighing. The woman cackled as she fled the chamber. Her work here was done.

Merlin stumbled up the castle stairs. The trek from the kitchen to Arthur's room was extremely long and Merlin often had to run to make sure Arthur's food remained warm. As he stumbled he made sure the plate of sausages he was holding remained steady. Not a single one dropped. Excellent. The only thing left in the kitchen was chicken drumsticks and Merlin didn't think that Arthur would appreciate those for his breakfast. As he finally reached Arthur's door he could hear nothing coming from inside. Meaning Arthur was asleep. Thank heavens. Carefully opening the door, Merlin walked into the room. Placing the sausages on the table he glanced over at the bed. Arthur was sprawled out over the entire bed. The blanket was barely covering him. Merlin chuckled as he took a moment admiring Arthur's body. He loved the way that Arthur's chest moved up and down as he breathed. Merlin went over to the curtains, finally, and ripped them open. Causing Arthur to groan and roll over away from the light.

"Wake up, Arthur! You're sausages are ready!"

"Leave me alone." Arthur mumbled as he placed is face into his pillow. Merlin rolled his eyes.

"Well if you don't get up now you'll be stuck with cold sausages or chicken legs."

Arthur groaned again as he slowly began to sit up in bed. His eyes still shut he managed to get out of bed. Opening his eyes, he scanned the room looking for his blundering manservant. "I have no idea what you are going on about, Merlin bu-" Arthur finally found him. Standing by the window sorting out the curtain. His breath caught in his throat as he watched his manservant. The light made his skin seem even paler and so delicate. Forgetting his breakfast Arthur walked over to Merlin and wrapped his arms around him. Merlin gasped as he felt Arthur nuzzle into his neck. He didn't protest though and he certainly did not pull away. Arthur breathed in Merlin's scent and he slowly turned him around to face him. Noses touching, he felt his heart rate increase. He didn't know what had come over him but he didn't care any more. He had longed to do this for ages but for some reason today was the day he acted on it. Leaning in he softly took Merlin's lips with his own. It was a gentle kiss. Not too needy but enough to confirm all of Merlin's thoughts. When they finally released, foreheads still touching, Arthur let out a gentle chuckle. "I can't believe I wasted this long to finally do that."

The old woman cackled as she observed the King's chambers from her hidden little spot. She saw Arthur and Merlin standing there by the window, within each other's arms, for what seemed liked hours. Finally sneaking off from the castle she couldn't help but laugh. All it took was a simple spell for the idiot to finally admit his feeling for his manservant.

The sausages remained uneaten that day.
