What if during the process of sealing Innominat and herself away, Velvet is whisked away by a mysterious portal and dropped into an unfamiliar land. After waking up in an unfamiliar land, she is attacked by an unfamiliar and very powerful hellion. But before the hellion can kill her, Velvet is saved by a swordsman who takes her to his village. Three years later, her son Sorey Crowe is born. But due to malevolence affecting the village, Velvet is forced to fake her death and leave him behind. The years pass and one day, while taking shelter an old ruined village, Sorey stumbles across the truth. Now, determined to find his mother, he will travel both far and wide to find her. This is the story of Sorey Crowe.
NB: 1) Velvet would have used a false name so that no one would recognize her (SPOILERS: use the name Selene as this was the name of Sorey's mother in the game). Other than that, shape the story in your own image.
WARNING SPOILERS
2) To be more specific, Velvet herself does not absorb Malevolence, but rather her demon arm does. At the end of the final boss fight, Velvet impales her arm into Innominat which would absorb Malevolence from him while he feeds from her. So when she falls into the portal, it closes suddenly severing her demon arm and leaving it impaled in Innominat. The Berseria lore says that Velvet's arm was consumed by Malevolence. So if her arm was severed all she has to do is let the stump absorb Malevolence to regenerate.
