The Question

Summary: (In the past!) Seth really reflects on the question Summer asks him and for the first time, Seth is confident in his answer.

I think I remember reading something similar, but oh, well! This is written completely written by me! Anyway, on with da fic!

The Question

She asked me

She, being Summer Roberts and I being Seth Cohen.

The question? She- Wait, I musn't ruin this moment by jinxing myself. But I just can't take it anymore! I want to jump up and say 'Yes!' However, I can't help but wonder: Why?

Out of all people in the classroom, I was the one she chose.

I looked deep into those carefree brown orbs that were now staring into my plain ones. And although I couldn't, I was so close that I could almost feel the softness of her chocolate colored hair.

I could feel goose bumps rising over my skin and for once in my life, I was struck with confidence.

The confidence that would lead me to answer the one and only question she had asked me.

But before I answer her question, the one that 'almost' came out seductively to me (ALMOST) , I would just like to stare at all the other boys into the classroom, those boys who were now envying this moment that I was sharing with her. I have been tripped and kicked before in my small life, but it was all well-worth for this exhilarating, pulsating moment.

She tapped her foot impatiently on the floor because she was awaiting my answer. She was waiting for me. She cared so deeply as to know what my reply was going to be. I decided to snap out of my completely one-sided selfish pleasure and give her my response.

Finally, I answered, "Sure, you can borrow my pencil."

Hehehe! How'd you like it? I thought it was good.....well, yeah, anything I write, I think is god, but hey, I thought this was good!
