CHAPTER: 1

THE NIGHTMARE BEGINS FROM A SIMPLE"HELLO?"

"hmmm..." i groan as the sun light shines through the blinds and splashes on my peacefully sleeping face. I roll over just to find my alarm clock go off... beep beep beep... slap! i stretch as i slowly sit up moving strands of hair out of my face. i rub my eyes only to find i have 15 minutes to get to the bus stop... "huh.. i never get a break. guess i will just be late on the first day of school as the new kid..." i mumble as i drag myself to the bathroom to take a shower. i strip down and look at myself in the mirror.. i sigh as i step into the steaming hot shower. as the water hits my body i start to feel my muscles relax.. i am calm and soothed... my step dad then opens my bathroom door... "why the hell are you still here Amber-Lynn? its you first day at this school and your goofing off."

As i finish up getting dressed i head my way down stairs to get an apple for breakfast. my step dad (Don) looks at me. I was a little nervous. But it was Friday so its all good. i get a ride from don. He says his goodbyes as i exit the car and go to the front of the school. I enter the building and make my way to the front desk and receive my schedule. On my way to my first period which is only god knows where i run into a Sophmore (im a Freshman) anyway.. crashhh... "aghh.." i scream as i feel a hard compact from the ground. as i start to open my eyes i see his face... charming face...

"Are you okay? You had a pretty hard fall." He questioned with concern in his voice.

"Ummm, yeah im fine... I am so sorry that i wasnt paying attention and crashed into you." I stuttered trying not to make eye contact or blush.

"Hey... Not to be rude but arent you that new girl that moved in just like 5 houses down from me?"

"Yeah... That is me..."

"Your a freshman right?"

"yeah.."

"What lunch do you have?"

" Lunch 3."

"same you should hang out with me.. oh by the way the names Kalvine."

" oh.. im Melonisity. but you can call me Mel for short."

Later that day after school...

"Mel, what took you so long to get here. The bus dropped you off one hour ago." Don yelled.

"I was at a friends house. He lives down the road from us. He has been helping me out with my schedule. And he is also in Football." I say will full on confidence.

" Mel... Your mine... Dont go talking to other people or their will be consiquences..." Don warned stubbornly

the next day Mel hung out with Kalvine again all day and didnt even bother going to class... while she got off the bus Kalvine and her walked together when her step dad saw them as he was on his way home from work...

" Mel.. What do you think your doing? What did I tell you?"Don furiously screeched quietly...

" I thought you were supposed to be at work and he offered to walk me home." I innocently answered the mad man.

" Get in the USV right now!" he hollered.

I didnt argue. I obeyed and got in the usv. As I say my goodbyes I keep my head down.. He speeds home. we enter the house. my mom is in jail for a year.

he tells me to go make the bed. i listenin.
