To wrestle a chicken

Ok, so this is my series where I write about all of Tanith's experiments, like SP (guest) requested. Hope you enjoy it :)

In this chapter, Taniths house is still recovering from her last experiment, so she's living with Skulduggery (this will be over for the next chapter). When she realises that nobody thinks that she's 'sciency' she decides to breed a new species. But sadly, she gets a stag confused with something else...

Spiderman never fails, slush puppies with extra ice and stinging nettles ~ Lucilia Venom, the organic cooking sauce lover.

"Okay," Valkyrie called out, "Me and Skulduggery are going to the Sanctuary, stay out of trouble, NO EXPERIMENTING!"

"Alright, geez," Tanith replied.

Skulduggery and Valkyrie left, leaving Tanith alone in the house. You should never leave Tanith alone in your house.

Tanith ran outside to her bike, revved the engine, and was off. She sped through the countryside until she came across a chicken farm. She snuck in, grabbed a chicken and fled. She strapped the chicken in the side-cart, and rode back to Skulduggery's house.

She went into the living room, grabbed a plastic bag, and went to Valkyries bedroom.

She placed the chicken on the bed opposite the pillow.

"Now, Mr Geoff the Chicken, meet Mrs Susie the bag!" Now that they had been introduced, Tanith put them in separate rooms. She wrote down what the chicken did when flicked (it pecked) and she wrote down what the pillow did when put in the oven (it burned).

"Interesting," she said looking at the notes she'd made. "According to my notes, the plan IS possible!"

She grabbed Geoff and Susie, and put them in Valkyries bedroom (in an attempt to keep her room feather free).

"Now," Tanith exclaimed, "Mate!"

Seeing this wasn't going to happen on its own, Tanith got Geoff and pushed him into Susie. Geoff started squawking, and his claws ripped a big, jagged hole in Susie.

"NOOOOO!" Tanith yelled. "SUSIEEEEE!"

Then she looked at Geoff. She picked him up and carried him downstairs.

She started up the oven so that she could eat Geoff. But Geoff was a smart chicken. When Tanith wasn't looking, he crept into the living room. He grabbed a cushion from the sofa, and ripped it down the middle. Then he taped the feathers onto a teddy-bear. He snuck into the kitchen, and put the bear in his place. But, sadly for Geoff, Tanith wasn't that stupid. She noticed the fake straight away, and ran after the escaped chicken. She grabbed it before it reached the door, but Skulduggery was back and he opened the door. Geoff saw his chance, and escaped, but Tanith was holding on. They rolled out onto the drive, each trying to get on top. Geoff tried to peck out Tanith's eyes, but Tanith rolled, came up, punched him in the face.

Geoff wandered away, deranged, and Tanith let him go as she had noticed Valkyrie sitting in the trees, recording her wrestling a chicken.

Valkyrie posted the video on YouTube before Tanith had time to get to her, and within minutes 'Woman Wrestles Chicken' was top of the viral video chart list.

*** 1 Day Later ***

"What's on?" Tanith asked, wandering into Skulduggery's living room, where Skulduggery and Valkyrie were watching the TV. Valkyrie looked at her, shocked. Then she replayed the last two minutes of the news.

"An evil, deranged killer chicken, whose name is rumoured to be Geoff, has been all around the country, taking his revenge on humanity. Why? We have reason to believe that someone attempted to cook him, then punched him in the face. Citizens are advised to lock all doors and windows. More on this story as it developes."

"Oh, poo…"
