Chapter 1: Chapter 1

A fierce, howling wind blew thru the small dusty western town.

Paladin stepped of the small wooden porch of the hotel heaved a sigh and slowly walked up Main Street. Once again his employers had not been looking for a man like him. They had been looking for a assassin. Of course paladin was no such thing so after his employers, the pione brothers, had committed a attempt on his own life he felt obligated to stop them.

As he continued to walk down the street he dwelt on the fact that there was no way he could possibly talk the three foolish men out of it. As the three men came into view, standing in middle of the street paladin looked in disgust at the citizens drawn to the display of violence. The judge, the sheriff, a young boy in trousers, a woman wearing a flowered dress, a man in a brown trench coat and fedora, and many more had came to see someone die.

Paladin turned his gaze to the oldest pione brother who was wearing a smug grin. As the four men starred at each other the clock struck twelve. The three piones reached for there guns. Not a single one made it out of a holster. With lightning speed paladin drew his custom made pistol fired three shots and returned it to his holster, while three men with surprised and horrified faces hit the dust.

Paladin gave one last look at his victims before returning to the hotel to pack. It was time to go back to San Francisco.
