"And so you see, that's what Easter is and how it's celebrated," Kagome finished explaining to Miroku, Sango, Inuyasha and Shippou.
"I see," Miroku said thoughtfully. Kagome grinned.
"And I brought you all samples," Kagome added.
"Samples?" Sango asked curiously. Kagome nodded as she dug into her large yellow backpack and retrieved a large number of colorfully wrapped eggs and handed them each an egg, to Shippou, she handed two.
"Why do I get two?" Shippou asked, not that he was unhappy. Kagome smiled.
"Well, you see these chocolate eggs are like the candy I always bring you so I thought you would like it," Kagome replied. "Now, I'm going to go take a bath, coming Sango?" Sango nodded and got up. She turned to Miroku.
"You better stay right where you are, monk," she warned him. Miroku sighed.
"Yes, my dear Sango, of course," he responded.
"Hurry up!" Inuyasha called after them. He landed with a thump on the ground from Kagome's calm 'sit' command. Shippou watched as Kagome walked off, he looked at the two eggs he was holding. He didn't want to eat them at the moment, he wasn't hungry and Kagome hadn't given him anything to keep the two eggs in. Hmm…Shippou thought, looking towards the innocent yellow backpack still lying on the ground. Shippou scurried towards it, Inuyasha and Miroku didn't notice because they were in a deep conversation.
Kagome finished her bath and was returning to the camp site content. Shippou ran up to her, he was holding something white and lacy with two cups which he had placed his Easter eggs in. Kagome's eyes widened.
"Hey Kagome, I hope you don't mind I took this Easter egg holder to borrow," Shippou called to her. Kagome sweat dropped.
"Oh um, yeah sure. I promised to meet up with my friends now, I mean I have a date, I mean I have a test so I've got to go now, he he he, ok bye now!" Kagome blabbered in a rush and quickly took off towards the well. Shippou watched her disappear. He glanced at Sango and then turned to Inuyasha and Miroku whose eyes were transfixed on this 'Easter egg holder.'
"Did I do something wrong?" he asked innocently but they were all too busy to answer his question.
