River's Christmas – A one shot

"Doctor. Hello Sweetie." River Song said as the Doctor walks through the living room door.
"How did you.. I've just came in.. I.. Oh hello River!" The Doctor stammered, obviously feeling highly uncomfortable. Well, River was wearing a highly revealing red dress.
"This dress is similar to the one I wore back in Nazi Germany, eh? Very low cut..'"River spoke in a very sultry voice. "Did anybody ever get round to letting Hitler out that cupboard?"
The Doctor giggles and replies "For some reason I had more important things to do that day! Like dying, River."
"Oh Doctor, forgive and forget my love." Said River as she stood up from her chair and began to walk towards the Doctor.Both of them then suddenly burst into fits of laughter and the Doctor pulled River into him.
"Oh get a room you two! Actually, please don't!" Amy walks into the room, closely followed by Rory trailing behind in a very christmassy jumper.
"Mother! I haven't seen my husband - my real husband that is for 2 years and I can't even..."
"River. Come'on you don't need to touch me constantly. We'll save that for later, eh?" The Doctor interrupts, slyly adding a little wink directed towards his wife, of course.
"Erm, Doctor, how long are you, erm, staying here for?" Rory suddenly involved himself in the conversation - surprising everyone.
"Well I suppose as long as you Ponds will have me? Have we got christmas dinner? I love christmas dinner! Turkey, I love turkey. There's a planet called Turkey you know? Never been, we should go! All of us, family outing, I've never been on a family outing. That will be fun!" The Doctor rambles and finishes off with a manly giggle.
After dinner Rory and Amy are clearing up wearing their party hats in the kitchen and the Doctor and River are sitting curled up together on the sofa watching the telly.
"You're going to leave aren't you?" River said this in a completely calm voice and continued to look at the television screen.
"River, my wife." The Doctor gently moved River's head so it was resting on his chest and her eyes locked on his. "Of course I'm leaving. But not now, okay? I promise River, I won't leave you now." His eyes brimmed with tears although none were falling down his cheeks. "We'll have some fun first, like always, remember Storm Cage?" They both laughed in unison and then he leaned into her face and slowly kissed her.
"Come'on, my love. Let's..." Before River could even finish her sentence he took her hand and lead her through the doorway and up the stairs.
"River, sweetheart?" "Doctor?" Amy shouted as she walked into the sitting room. All she heard was a giggle from upstairs. She smiled and shouted "Rory!".
