I do not own the Magical World of Harry Potter.

"I am dying," the beautiful Raven-haired woman said softly.

"Rowena, don't joke about that," a blonde haired man said.

"I'm not joking, Salazar."

"Rowena please," a brown haired lady said. "Don't be ridiculous. You aren't dying, you are just ill."

"I am dying."

"Rowena," a red haired man said. "Do not say that."

"Please, let me die in peace of mind. Do not fight."

"Rowena," the brown haired lady said, her eyes full of tears.

"No, Helga. Salazar, Godric, you mustn't fight. It's my dying wish."

"I promise," Salazar took one hand, as Godric took the other.

"Good," Rowena tried to smile, but she was growing weaker. Her chest rose and fell softly with her limited breaths.

"Rowena what will we do without you," Godric said.

"Who's going to help us? The Hat will sort, but we aren't the four founders with only three," Helga said, freely letting her tears fall.

"You will have to make do."

The three friends sat on the fourth's deathbed. Suddenly everything seemed so trivial. The fights, the arguments, the students. Nothing seemed real. This invincible woman was dying before them, and her daughter wasn't here to say goodbye.

"Tell Helena goodbye for me."

"I will," Helga said.

"Remember my dying wish."

"We will," Salazar and Godric said softly, not meeting each other's eyes.

"You were all good friends."

"We will miss you."

"And I you."

"Don't go Rowena!" Helga cried.

"Helga dear, I must. It's my time. But remember… my dying…. Dying wish…"

Her chest rose once more before falling, and she lie still.

"She's gone," Salazar said.

"She's gone," Godric said.

"She's gone!" Helga wept.

"And so am I," Salazar said.

"Salazar stop it," Helga glared at him.

"No! Let him go!" Godric roared. "It's his fault we couldn't get along!"

"Stop!" Helga shrieked. "You've killed her dying wish!"

Salazar whirled on the spot and was gone, and next was Godric. Leaving Helga, clutching Rowena's hand as it grew cold beneath her fingers. Her dying wish, it had been ruined. They had fought. And now it was over.
