Remember To Thank Kaoru
"Haruhi!"
Haruhi looked up, startled, from her homework, to see Hikaru.
"Yes?"
"Are you ok?" Hikaru looked nervous.
"Yeah, why?"
"You just seemed kind of down lately…"
She smiled and nervously rubbed the back of her neck.
"Oh, yeah, I'm fine! I've just been swamped with homework… Just catching up, I'm fine really."
He smiled at her.
"Oh…Well… If you ever need help, like with homework…Or someone to talk to…I'm here, ok?"
She looked at him, searching for an explanation, then smiled.
"Yeah… All right! Thanks, I will!"
He smiled back at her.
"Ok… See you in host club?"
She nodded.
"Alright, bye." He waved.
"Bye."
She waved warmly and turned back to her homework. Hikaru exited the library. Out in the hall, he leaned against the wall and stared at the ceiling
That went well. And I know she will, too. Come to me for help, that is. I have to remember to thank Kaoru…
