Fred opened her eyes slowly. Had last night been a dream? She turned around to see Gunn sleeping peacefully next to her in the bed. She grinned, as she moved over and lent her head against his chest. Gunn stirred.

"Morning Charles" Fred said sleepily. He moaned quietly, still half asleep and not wanting to move.

"Morning," he murmured. He never wanted to move, never. He didn't want to have to get up and go to work. He wanted to stay there all day, with his girl. "What time is it?"

"8:30" Fred replied nestling her head further into his chest. Gunn's eyes flew open.

"8:30! But Angel will kill us, we're meant to be at work in a few minutes!" He cried. Fred didn't move.

"Cordy gave us today off as well, get over yesterday." Yesterday had been of the most confusing days of her life. It had started so well, with the great morning with her boyfriend. Then it all went horrible when he 'broke up' with her and when she watched Angel gamble for Gunn's life and lose! Then last night, last night had been the most fantastic night of her life.

"I'm sorry about that, but I knew what that guy would do if he ever found out." Gunn trailed off.

"Found out what?" Fred looked up into Gunn's eyes, they were filled with fear.

"He found out that I was about to give my soul to another," He said, surprised how he didn't feel embarrassed; it totally ruined his tough guy act. Fred grinned making his heart flutter. "Fred," he paused, how was he going to say this?

"Charles," she replied in exactly the time tone; this made him smile.

"I. in our line of work you have to think about how we may not have a future." No that sounded stupid! That sounded wrong. "I mean, you can't put things off." Fred nodded in agreement, not really understanding what he was saying. "'Cos if you don't you may never get to do it 'cos you're already dead."

"Charles, although it's nice talking about how we might die any day, is there a point you were making?" Fred asked, she had a feeling she had saved him from embarrassing himself.

"I love you!" Gunn said clearly, kissing Fred's forehead. She blushed bright red.

"Well guess what, I love you too" She kissed him lightly on the lips.

"So what now?" Gunn asked when they eventually pulled away from each other to breath.

Fred grinned. "A repeat of last night?" She suggested.

"Just what I was thinking," He pulled her towards him and kissed her passionately. Maybe they would get up later; a lot later. Tomorrow later.

The End.
