Surprises After Summer

Summer break morphed into the first day of school which meant the resuming of club activities. After the critical events that had conspired during summer holidays, Haruhi could not imagine going back to the routine, yet spontaneous lifestyle of a host. This was the reason why she grabbed Hikaru's arm before either him or Kaoru could open the tall, majestic doors. They both looked back at her. (That was the beauty of them being twins: if you stopped one of them, the other one would stop too.)
"What is it?" they asked in unison..
Kaoru continued grinning devilishly. "Are you nervous about how the boss will react now that you and Hikaru are together?"
"No," Haruhi replied stubbornly, but she was ignored because Hikaru's answer was far more interesting in Kaoru's mind.
A pinkish tint arose on Hikaru's cheek. "It's not like that, Kaoru."
"But, it is." Kaoru's devilish grin doubled in length. Haruhi couldn't help but wonder what one of the "little devil types" was up to this time.
Hikaru shot Kaoru a defiant glare. "Why would I be nervous about such a thing?"
Kaoru eyes glinted mischievously all the while his lips were pressed into his signature smirk. "Because you're afraid the boss will try to separate you two in some way and that the relationships between the club members will change."
A side glance to Haruhi while he was speaking proved that his words were not only directed towards Hikaru.
Hikaru and Haruhi's combined silence told Kaoru he was spot on.
"Don't worry. It'll be a secret between the three of us." Kaoru glanced towards his twin brother before invading his personal space. "You know I can keep a secret."
Roses floated around them while Kaoru held his brother's chin with one hand and stroked his cheek with the other.
Hikaru's blood rushed to his face. "Kaoru," he whispered softly.
Haruhi cleared her throat and the twins backed away from each other. "Don't do that twincest act in front of me."
"Who said it was an act?" Kaoru suggested with a raised eyebrow.
Haruhi chose to ignore Kaoru's attempt at provoking her and started speaking as if the previous conversation had never happened. "The reason I pulled you both back was to thank you for letting me vacation with you during the summer."
"No problem," they both shrugged. "Come with us again anytime. All five of us had loads of fun"
"Five of us?"
Haruhi's confused look put a smirk on both of the twins' faces. They exchanged looks.
"So, you didn't know, Haruhi?"
Though the honor student had managed to break into their world, there was no way she could break the bonds between them.
"Know what?"
"That Tamaki and Kyouya were following us the whole time."
A moment of shock followed briefly.
"They. Were. What?" Each word was repeated precisely in a dangerous, aggravated tone.
The twins grinned at each other. "They're right in there." Both of them raised a finger to point at the doors leading into Music Room 3.
Haruhi pushed them open with force only bequeathed to an angry woman.
"Tama-" she started to yell out his name but never finished because of the sight before her. On the couch before her lay Tamaki who was being caressed and fondled in an inappropriate manner by Kyouya who was gently tugging on Tamaki's clothes. Tamaki moaned softly at the placement of Kyouya's hand.
Haruhi's mouth dropped to impossible lengths. "Wha-?"
"I guess they got a little closer during the summer holidays." Kaoru shrugged. "Like you and Haruhi."
Unlike Kaoru's nonchalance, Hikaru dropped his mouth agape. After a moment, he turned to Kaoru. "But, I always thought Milord would be the seme."
