It was almost a year that she didn't see Draco. She was running away from death eaters with Harry and Ron while looking for horcruxes. Every day she thought about him, about his beautiful eyes and hair. The day that Ron went she cried not only because of him. She thought that she will never see her beloved Draco again. That was almost a year ago, now she was in Hogwarts again, looking for another horcrux…
As soon as they got to Hogwarts, Hermione parted from Harry and Ron and looked for Draco. She ran past corridors until she bumped into Draco. She hugged him. He took her hand and they went into an empty room.
They kissed. It was the best kiss she ever had, she missed his soft lips. He enjoyed the kiss as much as she did but he broke off the kiss and looked into her eyes. Hermione looked into his eyes and saw tears. "I love you" he told her in a trembling voice. "I loved you since the first day I met you, and I don't want you to get hurt".
"I love you too" She whispered. It seemed that by saying that it hurt him. He looked away from her, not wanting her to see him with even more tears in his eyes.
He whipped his tears and looked at her again. "I'm sorry". Hermione didn't understand. He took out his wand and pointed it at her. She started to understand what he was about to do. "Don't! You don't have to!" She said, but he wouldn't listen.
He looked at her and whispered "Obliviate". The charm hit her and she fainted. Draco in the meanwhile, ran as fast as possible to his common room.
Several minutes after the hex hit her, she woke up wondering why she was at that room and not with Ron and Harry. She got on her feet and headed to where Harry and Ron were.
Nineteen years later, at kings cross station, Draco was there with his child and wife. He saw Hermione with Ron and their kids, he saw she was happy. He smiled to himself; he loved her smile more than anything else. He was happy with his family but he couldn't stop thinking, it should have been me, not Ron.
