"Kiara, why exactly are we out in the pride lands at this time of night?" A confused Kovu asked the light peach toned lioness, before turning his head to the left of him. Where she was walking next to him.
"Why? Why not Kovu? It's a gorgeous night and the stars themselves are out tonight in an abundance." Kiara replied to Kovu warmly, turning her head to the right of her. Where she gave the lion, she loved a caring smile. He was a still confused though, until he began to put the pieces together. Like that smile she was giving him, along with the words she had graced his ears with. It was then like a lightning strike had gone off in his head, making him realize the true reason why they were out in the lands at this time.
"So that's it, we're out here because you want to star gaze." Kovu stated proudly to himself, while also at the same time feeling a bit dumb for not realizing it earlier on. Something Kiara couldn't help but give a slight chuckle to.
"Of course, silly. I mean, when you think about it Kovu, when's the last time we did something like that together. What with mom teaching me the ways to be a good queen, and dad teaching you the ways to be a good king. We haven't had much time to spend with each other, and I just figured, we could use a break from it all. To spend time with one another, like we did when you came back into my life." Kiara softly stated to the Auburn fur toned lion, who began to show a warm smile from her words.
"Well, it would be nice to get away for a night from all the lectures and teachings. Not to mention, doing something like this would bring back the fond memories we've had together. Like how inexperienced you were when it came to hunting." Kovu teased with a laugh, remembering the humorous times of the subject he mentioned. Only for him to feel a slight hit in his front left leg seconds later. Making his laughter and paws stop dead in their tracks.
"Ow," Kovu winced slightly. Only for him to see a smirking Kiara now looking at him, who had also stopped in her tracks.
"Ha ha Kovu, but don't forget, I learned pretty quickly in those sessions of ours. Besides, if I remember correctly. You had trouble with something as well. Like, trying to tell me that you cared for me in that 'way'." Kiara teased back gleefully, knowing it would make the lion blush hard. Which of course it did, but was also added with him turning his head to the right quickly, away from her. A gesture that made Kiara give out a laugh of her own.
"Oh, I'm only kidding Kovu." Kiara told him playfully. Giving the lions left cheek a warm lick of love. Which after doing such a loving gesture, Kiara had slowly brought herself down to the ground until she felt her belly had hit it. As she was now laying on the ground, and looking up at Kovu. Whom after receiving the warm lick, turned his head back to her.
"Come on love, let's look at the stars together." Kiara softly stated, looking at Kovu in his emerald green eyes. While he himself, looked into her reddish-brown eyes. Both of them becoming lost in the other, and each showing a warm cheerful smile to the other. It wasn't before to long though, till Kovu nodded his head in agreement with his love. Letting himself ease down to the ground till he was lying next to her.
"I wonder what we'll find tonight Kiara, among the stars of the kings and queens. Also, I did eventually get the courage to come out and say I love you my queen." Kovu chuckled warmly, giving the lionesses right cheek a warm lick of his own. Which after he did, he had gently laid the left side of his head on the right side of hers.
"Something beautiful I'm sure, and I'm glad you did. It was the happiest night of my life Kovu. One I'll always remember, just like I'll remember this one my king. I Love you." Kiara happily stated, rubbing her head against Kovu's. As the two then began to stare up into the night sky. Both looking and analyzing what wonderful images they'll find together as one.
