BRONZE
All about Claudia. Love Claudia! 3 Wonder how they'll get her out of bronze now that the bronzer is broken. Hmm.. they could bring HG in to fix it :) That'd be fun!
Anyway, here goes:
Claudia Donovan had had dreams of being frozen in bronze after she had met Helena G. Wells and come to know the woman. She thought the mysterious element made it cool and waking up somewhere in the future would be pretty damn awesome! Of course when she saw Nick push that button that would seal her in Bronze it didn't seem as cool anymore.
Claudia had never been that terrified.
Nothing hurt as much as the feeling of betrayal coursing through her veins as they turned to bronze. She felt a tingling down her spine and suddenly she couldn't breathe, as panic began to rise she realized she didn't need to breathe. In an instant the look of horror was frozen on her face.
She remembered a conversation she had had with H.G. Helena had said something about being awake and trapped, alive and dead, caught somewhere in an agonizing limbo and the breathless sensation that quickly made its way around her entire body as darkness took over everything. And yet through all that she was still somehow alive. It was a bit of a miracle. And Claudia wasn't one to chalk science up to miracles.
All around there was a vast darkness. Pitch black. But Claudia could see her hands now. They looked fine. Normal. She looked fine. And yet she knew she wasn't. She was horribly wrong. She could hear her heart pumping loud in her ears but besides that steady rhythm there was nothing. It seemed all her senses were failing the young techno-wiz all at once. It didn't take long for the sense of eternal dread to subside to sheer boredom as she waited for something interesting to happen.
Claudia now understood the plight of the redeemed ex-psychopath. She understood Helena's vengeful wrath. She understood how being caught in a limbo could drive one insane. She felt a little insane herself and it had only been minutes? Hours?
She realized in a place like this time wasn't linear. Time was sort of floating around; jumping from place to place. Almost wandering witlessly. It would be rather easy to lose her marbles. But more than that it would be easy to be engulfed by the black. The suffocating black. The black that only fueled her hate for that boy. It would be easy to just sit back and plot a brilliant, in a mad-genius sense, ploy to destroy the world… or better yet take over it.
Distance was innumerable but from somewhere far off she heard a faint voice. Jinxy? He sounded worried. No wait… he sounded freaked out.
Claudia tuned out the voice. She wanted to sleep… Just for a while.
This seemed like a ridiculous dream.
