Spoilers- up to the end of S2
Disclaimer- Lorne and Pylea belong to Joss and his merry band of associates. The song was sung by Aretha Franklin.
Note- Just one of my wacky ideas, and the song kinda fit because a) Lorne loves Aretha and b) respect was what Lorne ended up receiving in this dimension, it was something that he wanted.

Krevlornswath of the Deathwok Clan groaned as he hit the hard gray ground. He had been walking in the woods, making his way to the waterhole to meet with some lovely ladies while the others participated in the ancient tradition of hunting and gathering. He was almost there when the trees had started to swirl together, he had gotten closer to take a look when the forest went all bendy, light flashed and with a boom he landed in a cold, strange looking building.

Krevlornswath stood, brushing the dirt and dust from his clothes. He looked around the building in which he landed; it was very strange, unlike any other building that he had ever seen. The floor and walls were covered in a dark gray colour and bright light filtered through spots in the grime covered windows. He was utterly fascinated; everything was different from Pylea.

He decided to explore, wandering through the building he would often stop and examine objects. Through his wandering Krevlornswath found a set of stairs. He carefully made his way up them, walking out into a dark alley. He gasped; there was so much noise here. And there were so many of these strange buildings.

Krevlornswath tilted his head, he could hear something, and it sounded like the ghosts inside his head. He crept to the mouth of the alley, his eyes widened the streets were paved; they were all paved. Only the richest cities in Pylea had paved streets, and even then the peasants had pressed dirt roads. And there were cows everywhere! They teemed on the streets with their bright multi-coloured clothing and they didn't wear collars.

He looked at the bright colours, then down at his own clothing. The cow's clothes looked wonderful. His red eyes fell on a small black box a cow had just placed on a low wall. His mouth gaped open; the ghosts in his head were coming out of the box.

"What you want, baby I got it,
What you need, you know I got it."

It was better than any ghost had been; the voice was clear and sweet, painful and right. Krevlornswath nearly wept, it was so beautiful. It was like nothing he could ever imagine. He smiled wobbly at passers-by, as tears ran down his face. He could feel all the emotions in the voice; it was amazing. He ran a calming hand over his horns and stumbled back into the building in which he landed. He looked around the room, thinking of the abundance of cows, free of collars and drab clothes, of the ghosts coming out of boxes so other people could hear it too. He realized that he had been delivered into a type of haven; it was a place that seemed perfect for him. He placed his hands on his hips; he was going to like it here.
