Friendship Comes in Many Forms
"Class, we have a new student joining us today. Let us give a warm welcome to Gigi." Mr. McIrish said. A young human female walked into the room. She had brown hair with bangs, brown eyes, and a smile on her face. Noah Seville smiled too. He thought she would make a good friend...if his brother Alvin didn't scare her with his "charms" first.
Later, Noah saw Gigi eating lunch alone. He walked towards her but then he saw Alvin go the same way with a bouquet of flowers. "Good God. Brittany breaks up with him because of a prank call from a jealous fan, now he's a feckin' wreck." He said. Noah used his power ring to conjure up a giant hand and grabbed Alvin. "Look bro, she ain't for you. Brittany is. Just trust your connection and she'll be yours. Now as for Gigi over there, let me just talk to her. I just want to be her friend and, no offense, you'd scare her shitless with your so-called charm." Noah said.
When Alvin left, Noah walked over to Gigi's table. "Hi there. This seat taken?" He asked. Gigi looked up, her eyes widening in surprise. "No. Sit down." She said. "You seem surprised." He said. Gigi looked away, blushing. "Sorry, it's just that...I can't believe Noah Seville is talking to a nobody like me." She said. "Hey, hey, I don't like talk like that. You aren't a nobody, Gigi. You are important to your family, your friends, and some guy somewhere out there." Noah said. Gigi smiled. "But look at you. You're Noah Seville, singer, hero, sorcerer." Gigi said. "I wasn't always this way. In fact, just last month, I was just some ragged orphan in Ireland. Then I snuck aboard a ship heading for the USA, The Chipmunks found me and adopted me. Look, Gigi, I may be a famous celeb/hero, but that does not change my feelings or attitude. I still want to be your friend, regardless if you're famous or not." Noah said.
Gigi had 5th period Gym with the Chipmunks. Their regular teacher, Coach Jensen was out sick, so they had a substitute. "Dammit, I hate substitute teachers." Noah said. "Why's that?" Gigi asked as the two friends made their way to the track. "With normal teachers, when I need to go save the world,I can come and go as I please. Can't do that with a sub. What if..." Before Noah could finish, his power ring started flashing. "Aw, crap! What'll I do?" Noah started to panic. Gigi put her hand on Noah's shoulder. "Just go. I'll cover you." She said. "Thanks, Gigi." Noah said, flying off. Gigi ran back to the class as the substitute called roll. "Jagers-Seville, Noah." He called. "Nurse. He isn't feeling well. A little...green." Gigi said, looking over at Alvin, Simon, and Theodore. Simon walked over to her. "Hero business?" He whispered. "Yup." Gigi replied. "Swear to keep his secret?" Alvin asked. "Lips sealed." Gigi said.
After school, as Gigi walked home, Noah caught up with her. "Hey, Gigi, I just want to say thanks for covering. What did you say?" He asked. "I said you were feeling a little...green." Gigi laughed. Noah laughed as well. "That's good. Real good. Anyway, my brothers and I are going to the premiere of Green Lantern: Fighting Furry-ously: The Movie and we have an extra ticket. Wanna come?" He asked. Gigi smiled. "I'm in. Race ya?" Gigi asked. "Last on there buys candy. Deal?" Noah asked. "Deal. ready...GO!" Gigi said. The two friends raced to the movies, the first of many adventures.
