A/N: Whoo another story! A father-daughter, Rory-River moment x3 haha awkwardness shall ensue. Please review!
"I'm home," called a young River, just coming home from her first day of school.
"River, sweetie, can you please come here," she heard her father yell from the living room.
Excitedly, she dropped her school bag and ran to her father. When she got to the salon, Rory immediately picked her up and swung her around. They shared a warm hug before Rory placed her on one of the couches.
"River, we need to talk," Rory said suddenly seriously.
River continued to smile as she watched at him. She always was more of a Daddy's girl than Amy would have wanted.
"Okay, daddy, what do we need to talk about?" she asked innocently.
"River, dear, I need you to make me a promise."
"About what?"
"I need you to promise me that you won't flirt with anyone," Rory told her, and she gave him a look of confusion, "especially in front of me."
River stared at him as though he had grown a third head. She didn't know what a crush was, let alone the mechanics of flirting. She's heard him use that word before, when he scolded his mother for talking to the delivery man. Did he want her to stop talking?
"I don't need to know that you are 'quite the screamer', or that you'd do anything for the Doctor," Rory rambled on, oblivious to his daughter's confusion, "and I especially don't need to know about how when there are two Doctors it's a whole 'nother birthday."
He looked at the young girl and she simply blinked.
"Can you do that for me Princess?" he smiled hopefully and she quickly nodded her head. Rory grinned and patted her on the back, "There's my girl, now go on a play."
He watched as River hurriedly ran out the room and back outside to play.
"Such a good kid," he told himself as he shook his head, "I probably just ensured her future."
