It was a cold afternoon as Liz and Gil went for a stroll at the park. They always go there after school or when they just need a break from everything. They were childhood friends, partners in crime , whether it's to pull pranks or make trouble just for laughs. But at the moment they remained silent , calmly taking in the scene around them. It was a pretty peaceful afternoon. But it wasn't the only thing that keeps them silent.
It's their last year, big steps are bound to happen. Some of which that both of them knew well , They we're to go on separate ways. Liz looked up at the sky , Gil looked at her change of gesture. Liz let out a sigh , "What is it Liz?" Gil asked , "Oh it's nothing" she smiled her eyes not drawing out of the sky. Gil pouted and crossed his arms but remained silent, staring at Liz. Liz felt the heavy gaze from her companion , she looked at him and laughed. "Come on tell me" Gil pleaded as Liz smiled "It's just that.. after this school year, We'd get separated … wouldn't we?" She returned his gaze , her eyes stained with worry.
Gil looked away as he started walking " I guess.." "I don't want that." Liz said sternly eyes still at Gil's not moving."We were best friends since day one, we were the inseparable duo. Like twins, you know? We do things better with each other's help" She began as she couldn't contain her thoughts anymore. "Liz, it's not like we're not gonna see each other again" He turned and smiled the warmest smile he could give her. "Besides you said it yourself, We're inseparable so even if we'll attend different universities next year we're still the great duo" he walked towards her and pointed to where her heart is. "Forever marked in there" Liz looked down and back at him his other hand pointed towards where his heart is as he grin.
Liz smiled back "I guess you're right Gil" she placed her hands on her pocket and began to walk forward passing by Gil "Buy me ice cream alright? I won the bet earlier" Gil blinked and soon followed her "But that was fixed! You were sneaky!" He laughed accusingly as he walked beside her. She smiled and looked at him "What is there something on my face?" Gil asked as he leaned forward to her. She laughed "There's nothing" she smiled "Forever alright Gil?"
