Let's dance!

"You want to learn to dance?"

Soleil nodded as she looked up at her father. "That's right! I want to learn how to dance like you and Grandma!"

The pink-haired sellsword watched as her father rubbed the back of his head in embarrassment with a slight blush on his face.

"Are you sure you really want to learn how to dance, Soleil?" asked Inigo.

"I wouldn't be asking if I wasn't sure!" exclaimed Soleil with a pout. "I'm tired of having no rhythm."

Inigo couldn't help but chuckle at his daughter's antics. "Then let's get started."

Daughter and father made their way deep into the woods to find a clearing that was away from prying eyes. Inigo then started Soleil off with the same steps he used when used to practice in secret. Unfortunately, Soleil's anti-rhythm soul turned its ugly head. They had been practicing for hours, yet Soleil still could not get the moves right.

"Why can't I do this?!" demanded Soleil as she glared at the ground. She could feel tears coming to her eyes "Why can't I just dance?"

She felt a hand on her shoulder and looked up at her father with watery eyes. He reached out and wiped away the tears.

"Don't cry, Soleil. I'm going to tell you the same thing your grandmother told me when I started dancing."

"What's that?" asked Soleil with a sniff.

"Never be upset if you can do it right away. It takes time to become an expert at something and dancing is no exception. As long as you keep practicing, no matter how long it takes, I know you'll become a graceful dancer," replied Inigo with a smile.

Soleil returned the smile. "Thanks, Dad. I'll practice everyday until I'm as good as you and Grandma are!"

"That's the spirit!" exclaimed Inigo with a grin.

"And if by some chance I truly do have zero rhythm, I can at least fall back on the fact that I'm better at wooing the ladies than you are!"

Inigo couldn't help the twitch to his brow as Soleil gave him a beaming smile.

Last year on this day I wrote for Olivia, now it's her adorable granddaughter's turn and Inigo returns as well (he's the only character who has been featured in more than one Month of Pink entry). I still don't know who would be Soleil's canonical mother. I do know though that it's not Severa (who canonically marries Subaki) or Peri (who canonically marries Xander). Still have to research the other girls Inigo can get with in Fates to find the answer.

Also, can I just say how ironic it is that they made Soleil bisexual in the game, yet Rhajat is the female character they chose that Fem!Corrin can marry?
