I was watching Wizard of Oz when this little idea popped into my head. Hope you enjoy it!
The Myth:
When Dorothy looked out the window, she gasped when she saw that her house was no longer on the ground.
"We must be inside the cyclone!" she said, turning to Toto, who poked his head out from under the bed. Turning back to the window, she saw the frightening Miss Gulch riding by on her bicycle. Her image faded away and was replaced by a witch flying on a broomstick. Dorothy hid her face in fear as the witch let out a cackle before flying away.
The Truth:
"Nessa… I have to go to her!"
Elphaba grabbed her broom and took off, leaving a very confused Fiyero behind. As she gained altitude, the wind grew more intense, making her cloak whip out behind her. She was intent on her quest that she didn't notice the twister growing closer until it was too late. The green woman felt herself being pulled in and though she tried to fight against it, it was no use.
Once inside, Elphaba soon became very disoriented. It took all she had to hold onto her broom and keep from being separated from it. A flying object nearby caught her attention and Elphaba turned to look at it.
A house?
The green woman managed to get herself closer to it and saw that it was indeed a house. She flew over to where an open window was and peered inside. A young girl saw the green woman and threw herself down onto the bed. Elphaba raised an eyebrow.
A young girl in a… flying house?
The whole thing was so absurd, so ridiculous, that Elphaba couldn't help but let out a laugh. She decided that she had seen enough and turned her broom away from the house.
That girl looked terrified. She won't last more than five minutes here in Oz. There's no reason to deal with her now. Let's just see where she lands…
