The train grounded to a halt as it finally reached its destination. As soon as the doors opened, it was a riot. Students of young ages, all women, I might add, rushed out of the train and began their daily hustle for their class. Most of them were running but there were a few others who were lucky enough to get on a tram.

Goodness. Would this be the daily commute that I have to face every day for a while?

Sigh.

I walked out of the train and walked out of the station to see the school that I was assigned. It was oddly reminded me of Prague with all its buildings and whatnot. It was amazing really, to see such a large Academy sitting on Japan and yet I just heard about it just quite recently.

Mahora Academy. It was situated on the northern part of Tokyo and built during the Meiji Era by a European. Presently, it has over thirty thousand students ranging from grade school until university and was said to produce a lot of fine graduates.

At least, that was the summarized version that I got from the Headmaster of Wales Magic Academy. Who, despite my big sister's request, was unable to veto the decision to place me out here in Japan as that was the assignment given to me by a piece of paper.

Heh. I still remember sister shouting those words with incredulity. "Being a teacher in Japan?! But he's only eleven!"

"Shocking," the Headmaster nodded in agreement. "But if that is what is written on his diploma then that is how it's to be. If Negi wants to be a Magister Magi then he has no choice but to dedicate himself to his trainings."

"B-but!" She answered defiantly, "How can being a teacher be of any help to him furthering his career?"

I could argue to big sister that Anya's assignment being a fortune teller is also a strange assignment to further her career to be a Magister Magi, but I decided to keep quiet. The continued for a while but the long story short of it all was that Nekane got too shocked that she fainted right on the spot and without any arguments coming from me, it was decided that I became a teacher. In Japan.

Methinks that Nekane was just upset that I was a long way away from her and that she couldn't spoil me anymore. She always liked to dote on me, that sister of mine.

Still though. What would people think of an eleven year old boy teaching? And at an all-girls school? Wouldn't this be the talk of the Academy City?

I've been called genius by my teachers and peers, and Nekane always did say that I was an unconsciously a charmer, Anya would always sigh in exasperation saying that I was fearless when she saw me having another cut because of another dangerous experiment or when we break in the school library but I reckon I'm just humble.

As for the fearless part?

Nah, I'm not fearless. Not by a long stretch. I know it. I know it all damn too well when demons came and took nearly everyone from me.

I started to walk towards the main building of the Academy, where I would find the Dean of the school, Dean Konoemon Konoe. I say started, but I didn't know where to start. This place was HUGE and I really didn't where to find the Dean.

I really need to find someone to tour me around here at some point. Especially that large tree that I saw earlier. That looks like something that I could see in a video game.

"Hey get out of the way!" a loud shout was what I heard.

It was the last thing that I heard before falling face down on the ground. The mountain of things I brought over from England, and clothes that were neatly packed on my backpack was scattered all over the ground.

"Asuna!" I heard another voice admonishing the person who bumped into me, "Look where you're running. You nearly hurt the poor boy."

Thankfully, I didn't really hurt myself on that fall so I stood up and dusted myself off from the dust over my robe. I turned around and saw the girl who bumped into me. She looked to be a foreigner, that with her red hair and heterochromia. Though I wonder about her name, but never mind. "It's okay, I'm fine." I replied to the girl who bumped into me.

"I'm so sorry about my friend little boy," A girl who had black long-haired hair replied for her friend. She bowed deeply in forgive.

"Y-yeah." The other girl, the one who bumped into me said. "Sorry about that kid. I didn't see you while I was running since I didn't expect a small kid to be here at this part of the school."

You didn't have to add that part of me being small, you know. Saying sorry was fine.

"But what brings you here to this part of the school, little boy?" the black-haired girl. The kinder of the two queried. "This is the all-girls school area in the furthest reaches of the Academy. The elementary division was one stop back."

"Oh, I have to do some-"

Ding! Dong!

What followed was some announcement over the PA system of the school. Saying something about only a few minutes before classes will start and students shouldn't be late.

"Oh crap. We're going to be late!" the orange-head exclaimed. "Let's go Konoka!" Without missing a beat, she sprinted away. And holy crap can that girl run.

"Asuna! We need to help him!" Konoka, I presume to be her name, shouted as she knelt and picked up the things that fell down from my bag.

"Oh it's fine." I waved dismissively as I also knelt down and began to pick-up my stuff. "I can manage on my own. Classes will start soon, I wouldn't want you to be late just because of this Miss."

"O-okay." Hesitatingly, she stood up and bowed again in apology. "I'm really sorry for this." And with that said, she ran after the orange-haired girl called Asuna whilst I packed everything back inside my bag.

Now then. Some things need to be questioned. I'm sure I placed a seal on my backpack so how in the bloody hell did the magical seal on my backpack become undone?

...

Strange.

While the scene earlier looked nothing out of the ordinary to most people, if falling face flat on your face is ordinary mind you, it was actually a bit concerning. That girl, Asuna as I recall, actually managed to bump into me.

See, the thing is that I placed a spell around me. Nothing major like a magic barrier or something similar to that but just a practical spell to make me unnoticeable to the other people and make them go around me. I just thought of it a while back when I was back home.

Usually most mages would place that spell in a fixed location wherein they could talk conveniently even though there are plenty of people but by applying several things onto that spell then you could walk while the spell was active.

It was a nice spell that I made back when I was in school, and in theory, you could probably use it around sneaking to places that most people wouldn't dream. Morbidly thinking about it, you could probably be a great assassin with this spell on. Oh sure, mages and apprentices could probably see you even though you have it on and... I digress.

Basically, normal people should be affected by it and shouldn't bump into me. Miss Asuna did and that's what boggling me.

Is it the fact that there's a large barrier all over this Academy City and that it's probably messing up with the spell? Or the fact that I just made a mistake somewhere when incanting this spell?

Hell, the seal over my backpack that allowed it to be perpetually closed was broken too but I could just chalk it up to me getting careless with a small spell.

Hmmm...

Never mind. Maybe it wasn't that important. Let's just chalk it up to the barrier over the school somehow interrupting the spell. Yeah. Let's do that.

I heaved up the backpack that I carried and noticed a small flip phone beside my feet. Oh, what's this? I picked it up and flipped open. Thankfully, not damaged. Did that girl earlier drop it when she bumped into me? Ahhh, now I see. She was probably on her phone when she was running.

Maybe the spell is less effective when one is focused or if electronics are nearby? Hmmm...

Research on that later. For now, I walk. And I should probably find somebody to help me return the phone to this Asuna.

I eventually got to the place. And just like the city, it was massive. What is this place? This is way too extravagant looking for just a Junior-High school. It makes me wonder just how much moolah the school makes if all the buildings are all like this.

Ding! Dong!

"Asuna~a," I heard a familiar voice shout again. "We're late!" Strangely enough, the person shouting didn't feel angry at all. It felt like she was having fun.

"I know Kono-! Guh!"

Okay, you can guess what happened afterwards. For the second time, I fell face down on my face. This time, the girl also went for a tumble so now I had a companion for meeting the earth.

Now that's a record for falling for the same person twice.

"Wha?! You again!" she pointed at me

Frankly, I'm more surprised that I got here much faster than you despite me having to repack my stuff earlier and just walking. Last I saw you, you were running like Usain Bolt.

I stood up again, dusting off the dust over me. This is hella annoying man "Yes it's me, again, Miss. And pointing is a bit rude, I'm afraid."

Asuna noticed her attitude and dropped her finger grudgingly. "Grrr." She growled, like a cute puppy if I may add.

Another girl skidded to a halt besides us.

I didn't notice earlier, but the black-haired girl was actually wearing roller skates. "Little boy, are you okay?" she asked with worry.

"Oh I'm fine." She looked relieved. "But how come I got here first despite you running ahead of me? I thought you were rushing for your class?" I queried with interest.

"Oh that," Miss Konoka replied. "That's because we had to go back to where you two first bumped into each other. We thought that Asuna's phone would be there."

"Yeah!" Asuna interjected. "Hey kid, did you see my phone?"

Oh, I guess I was right. It was her phone. "Oh, I have it with me. I was planning to give it to you when I found you." I put my hand into my pocket and pulled out her pink phone. "Here, you go miss."

"Ah!" she exclaimed in joy as she took the phone. "That's my phone. Thanks kid."

I smiled. "You're welcome." I turned around and started to walk inside the building. At least, I tried to before a hand pulled the collar of my robe.

"Just where are you going?"

Sigh. Why must you do this to me Miss Asuna?

"Inside." I shook off her hand.

"We're an all girl's school."

"I know."

"Then why are you trying to enter it then, brat?"

I sighed audibly. "Miss, could you please, mind your own business?" my words were laced annoyance, as much as I could muster. "What I'm here for does not matter. So if you would please leave me alone and just go to your classes."

"Now, now." Konoka interrupted. "Asuna, is right though little boy. This is the all-girls school."

"Yeah. Little boys should just be obedient and follow their big sister. Go back to the elementary division."

"No, he's right where he is Asuna-kun!" I heard a shout coming from up, so I craned my neck to get a look at the person.

"Ah, Takamichi!" Finally, a face that I know. "Help me out here."

I saw him laughing. "Okay, okay. I'll go fetch you."

Hello there to you readers who took their time and read the first chapter of this story. I just want to say thank you for reading my story. It's my first time in a while to write a story like this, first time in over... six years I think? So I'm really out of practice to be honest. My mind is a bit of a jumbled mess due to ideas running around like crazy but I hope I'll improve over the course of writing this fanfiction.

Anyways, this story is Negi-centric and unlike most people who write Negi as a 14 or 15 year ols, I decided to write him as an 11 year old boy. Why? Just because.

The first few chapters are a bit boring, I must admit that. But don't worry, I'll speed up the process and hopefully get into the action as fast as possible.

So uh... please Read and Review! I need feedback from you guys. The more people who read and review the more happy I am and a happy writer means faster updates.

Anyways, be seeing you guys for a while.
