Hey everyone. This story was brought to you by Herbology Hangout from Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Also for Ship Til You Drop Challenge on Harry Potter Fanfiction Challenges. For Herbology Hangout I wrote for the trope of Secret Relationship. For Ship Til You Drop Challenge I wrote for the pairing of Cedric/Goyle. Warning for fluff and slight homophobia. Word count without Author's Note is 547 words. I hope you enjoy For the Love a Hufflepuff.

Gregory Goyle looked around himself as he slipped out of the Slytherin common room with no problem other than convincing Vincent Crabbe to stay behind. He didn't think any of his friends would understand what was happening if they saw who he was meeting up with. He knew perfectly well they wouldn't understand what was going on between Cedric Diggory and himself. He didn't really understand it either.

They'd begun their little tryst by accident. Or at least that was how Cedric decided to explain it to him. But Goyle couldn't help but replay the moment in his mind when was alone. The feel of Cedric's soft lips over his own. The way Cedric made him feel less stupid than everyone else did.

"Greg," Cedric's voice called out from their meeting place, "is that you?"

"Who else would it be?" Goyle answered back as he closed the space between them. A sigh of relief left his lips as Cedric pulled him into a hug and then pressed a lingering kiss his lips.

"I've been waiting for this moment all day," Cedric whispered against Goyle's lips as he brushed several small kisses over the younger boy's lips. He then enveloped Goyle's lips with his own pressing his tongue into the younger man's mouth.

A gasp left Goyle's mouth as he felt Cedric's tongue enter his mouth. He wonders dumbly if this how Cho Chang feels when Cedric kisses her like this during the day time hours. He also wants to punch Cho Chang in her pretty face and pull Cedric into a bruising kiss in front of the whole school. But his friends wouldn't understand his want to be with the Hufflepuff seeker.

The sounds of paws padding across the floor break the two apart. Mrs. Norris is making her nightly rounds and that means that if she's near by Mr. Filch is somewhere close by too. Which means they'll be caught.

Goyle moves to make a run for it but Cedric pulls him back into another lingering kiss. Goyle knows they'll be caught for sure if they make a run for it now. He wishes it was as easy for him as letting them both be caught out of bed and in each other's arms. But good Pureblood boys don't kiss other boys, Pureblood or otherwise, in corridors at night.

"Cedric," Goyle moans out through their kiss, "we need to move now. Or we'll be caught for sure."

"I don't care," Cedric moans not bothering to break the kiss. "I want everyone to know about us, Greg."

Breaking the kiss and running away from the approaching footsteps of Mr. Filch makes Gregory Goyle feel horrible. He feels even worse as he turns around at the corner to see Cedric watching him dejectedly. He'll explain why he did what he did to Cedric the next time they meet. But for now he has to get back to the Slytherin common room before he's caught.

As he runs his thoughts turn to Cedric's soft lips on his again. Maybe one of these they won't have to hide from the rest of their friends. Maybe one of these days they'll be free to be themselves. He'd be free to love his Hufflepuff prince and be loved by him in return.

I hope you all enjoyed For the Love of a Hufflepuff.
