Author's Note: Hiya! It's been awhile...so,I'm here to say, I've had writer's block...plus I, kind of lost the will to write. BUT I got it back. Also, this crossover will be adding some new stuff, while following the plot of the movie. Picture the Ed's playing Aladdin roles. For example, Double D is Aladdin, and Eddy...well, you'll see. So...here we go! I don't own Ed, Edd & Eddy or Aladdin, they belong to Cartoon Network and Disney respectively. Enjoy!
Chapter One: Arabian Nights
Eddy was nervous. Far more nervous than he'd ever been. Here he was finally an actor...but there was a critic in the audience. Eddy sighed as Double D walked in. Double D held up a hand and said, "We HAVE to do this right, or we aren't going anywhere. John's words."
"Places everyone!" Double D began as John, the play critic sat in the audience with a smirk.
"Oh, this will be fun," John said sarcastically. Music started to play over the speakers. It sounded Arabian. John made a mental note to write this down. As the music built, three boys walked onstage. One was tall with a green jacket, but he was dressed as a monkey. The next wore a ski-hat, but also wore homeless like clothing. The last was short with 3 hairs on his head, dressed as a peddler. The short one said, "Welcome to our story, and adaptation of Aladdin. Please enjoy!" he said as the audience cheered, except for John who rolled his eyes.
The other two Ed's walked away as Eddy stayed.
Eddy: Oh, I come from a land, from a faraway place where the caravan camels roam.
Where it's flat and immense and the heat is intense, it's barbaric but hey...it's home.
The music continued to build and John's jaw dropped as the chorus of kids began.
Everyone: Arabian nights, like Arabian days,
More often than not are hotter than hot,
In a lot of good ways!
Double D: Arabian nights, 'neath Arabian moons!
Ed: A fool off his guard,
Could fall and fall hard.
Eddy: Out there on the dunes...
Eddy, now fully in character said, "Welcome worthy friends. Please, come closer. I see you are interested in hearing a tale?" he asked the audience, to which some of them nodded. "Maybe you'll consider...THIS," he said pulling out a lamp. "Do not be fooled by its common appearance, for it's not what's on the outside, but the inside, that counts. This, is no ordinary lamp. It once changed the course of a young man's life. A young man who was more than what he seemed...a Diamond in the Rough."
He then grabbed fake stars and threw them into the sky. "We begin on a dark night." Eddy's voice continued, this time deeper, as the world changed. "Where a dark man waits," he continued. "With a dark, purpose..."
Author's Note: And so begins the story...I hope you like it! Read and review!
