A drabbel-y thing I typed up today. Plottless, overall, but I thought it was funny.

"You know what I don't get?"

"You know that I don't care"

Bonnie heard the older man shuffle and breathed heavily out of her nose. He had been incessant with his snide and sarcastic remarks. She presumed he was the type that thought everything he spoke was gold, so he never shut up. The past half hour was serving to prove that theory.

"You're extremely decent, beautiful, powerful both in intelligence and skill, and could probably have whom and whatever you wished for. Those things, power and beauty, I very much understand", he smiled. She rolled her eyes.

"What I don't understand", he continued, "Is why you're with Scott McCall."

Without a blink, and an eye off her work, she regarded him, "our jaws match."

He chuckled, "clever. Sort of."

"Hale. I'm trying to find ways to destroy this alpha pack of yours. Wanna let me get to that or are you content with letting everyone in this town get maimed? Don't answer that."

Peter smiled a wide, amused smile. Bonnie rubbed her temples, "why Derek hasn't killed you yet I don't understand—"

"Didn't you hear? He tried that already", Peter spoke nonchalantly, walking back to his couch and picking up a foam ball. He had yet to acknowledge the confused shock on the younger woman's face.

"Come again?"

Peter shrugged with a slight smile, making a basket in a small hoop on the other side of the room, "killed me last year. Didn't work; and he calls me the crazy one?"

Bonnie shook her head, "that's just-too weird for words."

Peter looked over his shoulder at the young woman, "I'm sure you know all about weird from where you come from. The East is a freaky place."

Bonnie nodded, but didn't speak again.

For a long time, there was silence.

Bonnie had finished her work some time ago, and finally looked up from her lap at Peter. He sat up against the arm of the couch opposite her chair, seemingly in deep thought. She narrowed her eyes, crossing her arms and sitting up straight, "Still wanna know why?"

Peter turned his head to address her, "I'm sorry?"

"Why Scott."

Peter smirked, "I doubt there's much you can say to make sense of…that. But, I'd love to hear the attempt."

Bonnie sighed in slight exasperation, but, per typical Bonnie, she ignored his comment, "Scott…Scott's really goofy, and he loves people and he wants to help. Scott is a fan of the Scary Movie series and listens to Michael Jackson. A lot-"

"Fascinating. Really, I didn't know he was an MJ fan, but what does all that have to do with anything?"

"Scott's normal, Peter. At least, he tries to be. He doesn't…always let his wolf rule his world. Scott still holds onto Scott. That's why it's him. Because a man can be beautiful, and powerful, but none of them can be as utterly human as Scott McCall."

Peter quirked an eyebrow, "Sweet. No really, that's sweet, to care about someone that way. Still", he stood, walking towards the door, "I'm sure you could do better."

"Are you hitting on me?"

"Eh, call me in three years."

And she laughed. Because this guy was a character but she was sure, that in that moment, he really got it. Besides, how could she not smile? Scott just walked in.
