An attempt at creating a Remembrance Day tribute, Skyrim style. Original poem "In Flanders Fields" written by John McCrae, 1915
In Skyrim fields the lavender blows
Between the headstones, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The hawks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the swords below.
We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie
In Skyrim fields.
Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though lavender grows
In Skyrim fields.
-Written 4E 201 by the Dragonborn following an early battle of the Skyrim civil war.
