This isn't my best work. I don't really know what I was basing this off on. I sort of just wrote it for my English class as an essay he wanted. It was short and sort of sweet like my teacher wanted it. I hope that it's at least somewhat good. I think it could have been better if I put a bit more effort into it. Please review and tell me what you think.

"Stein?"

The name echoed through the house. A cold chill running up the female's spine. Walking deeper into the empty home. Lelia wondered if it was even a wise idea to come and check up on the professor by herself. Stein had been acting weird all day. It seemed that whatever had been bothering him made him snap halfway through the day. Gulping Lelia didn't enjoy the eerie feeling that roamed through the home that was turned into a lab.

Walking by his desk full of stacked papers along with a few test tubes; nothing seemed out of place. Or at least no yet. The sound of glass shattering at contact with the cement wall made the blonde turn trying to locate the source of the noise. It seemed to echo through the whole house making it hard to pinpoint. Lelia had arrived with no one and she hadn't told a single soul that she was going to check up on the scientist.

Taking a deep breath Lelia headed straight toward the stairs down to the lab to see if the noise had come from there. The house echoed easily especially with it being deadly quiet. The sound of her footsteps easily echoing through the house alerting anyone that was there that she was wondering around. If Stein was somewhere in the house he would know by now that she was there. She wasn't sure, but by letting him know he could have enough time to leave the house. That was something that Lelia was going to try to avoid.

Spotting the door Lelia frowned it was ajar. Anyone could be behind the door. It could either be Stein, Marie, or even someone she didn't know. Holding her breath she pushed open the door and let out a relieved sigh. There was glass all over the floor and even a few splotches of bright red blood. It didn't terrify her, but it did scare her. What was Stein up to? Just what was wrong with him?

"Stein? I know your in here. What's wrong?" The blond asked walking further into the room. Alert for any sudden noise or movement. If it was what she believed it was it would be hard to get to him unharmed. Lately he had been snapping more often and had these moments when he'd just walk out of class. Even if the male was older than her they had formed a bond that well it was a bond that she never really had with her father. He helped her when she needed it and now she wanted to help him in return.

Glass shattering echoed in the room. Lelia froze and scanned the room wondering just where he would be hiding. Hearing the door creak open she turned fast enough to send her head spinning only to let out an irritated growl. She had spotted the white tail of his coat. Running up the stairs she cursed under her breath as he was gone and out the door. Standing on the porch she let out a sigh as the breeze blew by and allowed her to calm down. The freshness of the air felt almost welcoming to her. Stein had gotten away, but Marie was walking up the hill towards her. It seemed that she had something to tell her.

"Lelia, your alright! Stein…well he isn't coming back to Shibusen. The madness finally got to him. He told me to give you this if it ever happened." The older blond explained to her.

Taking the note that was handed to her Lelia put on a small frown. She didn't like the idea that he wasn't coming back to school, but it was understood as to why. They all couldn't be put in danger.
