One-shot: the one moment
It was a few days till the fall festival and Sonya has been bombarded with guys asking her to the damn festival...she had to threaten them with the removal of a certain reproductive organ to finally get them to stop. 'Damn, ever since I took my mask off...' She let out a heavy sigh and headed towards the training grounds where Gai, Lee, TenTen, and the Hyuuga were waiting. She was gonna be late and the damn gawking idiots were to blame. Once she got there she, found a surprise. No one was there, all gone except the damn Hyuuga. "Where is everyone" asked a very annoyed kunoichi but he just gave her a pointed look. "Guy-sensei said that the preparations for the festival were a great way to express our 'youth'. So I decided to ditch and do some real training. I take it you didn't get told this little bit of information, did you?" She shook her head and let out a soft growl. "I swear, Lee is in for it for not telling me...so, is TenTen ok with you not helping?" She could practically see the young girl fuming over the Hyuugas absence. "Why should she care about whether I was present or not?" Sonya couldn't help but giggle a little. 'Oh dear kami he is so dense' Neji sent another pointed look towards her. He didn't see the question funny at all. Just as he was about to ask her what she thought was funny, a villager walked up to Sonya and held out a bouquet of a dozen red roses. "Umm...would you like.." He never got the chance to finish, because that was when Sonya snapped from the mornings events of the guys asking her. "No I would not, you boys have been trying to ambush me and asking me to the Fall festival, and attempting to appeal to me by bearing flowers...I care not for the fancy shit...I will go on my own." Neji stared at her wide eyed as she tore this innocent villager a new one. The boy left as quickly as he came, leaving the two alone once more. She turned to look at the Hyuuga and found that a questionable eyebrow was delicately raised. "What?" She gave him a look before he answered. "So, not willing to accept a date to the festival, I see." She just looked at him like he grew two heads. "Hell no! That shit is nothing but trouble...remember Shiro?! Yeah, um not going through that awkward moment again THANK YOU!" Sonya threw her arms in the air to elaborate her statement. Neji couldn't help but smirk. 'So, she didn't mind at all that she was with me. Interesting.' He waited until she finally calmed before speaking once more. "Well, since it's so much trouble, why not go with me again? It couldn't hurt since we've gone together once before and lived." She gave a look that clearly said she was appalled by the idea. 'Time for my trump card' Before Sonya could speak her obvious disapproval, Neji spoke up again. "It would also get all the village boys off your back, and off your waneing nerves. Deal?" She gave him yet another look before sighing in defeat. "Fine, but if TenTen gets hurt in the process...you will know I'm responsible, got it Hyuuga?" She smiled under her mask as she crossed her arms. He gave her a small nod, slightly confused as to how TenTen could have anything to do with their current conversion.
