Prologue: Sybil Trelawney

The chair squeaked as she rocked back and forth, knitting a new scarf. The fire was crackling, trying to give her warmth on that unusually cold and stormy June evening. Her cat sat on her lap, sleeping lazily. The clock struck 12, signaling a new hour of life.

Ding. Ding. Ding. Ding.

Suddenly, the squeaking stopped abruptly and the yarn fell to the floor rolling away. The cat jumped from her lap, shrieking as it ran off.

Ding. Ding. Ding. Ding.

A glazed look came across her face and her eyes became foggy. She stared off into space, her mouth slightly slack-jawed.

Ding. Ding. Ding. Ding.

"Tonight," she spoke in a far-off voice. "A young girl is born. She will have to pay for her father's grand mistakes. She will take his place in the world as the savior. She will be the only one able to stop the unstoppable."

Suddenly, her face and eyes cleared and she looked around for her yarn, completely oblivious as to what had just happened.

And as the storm lightened to a mere mist, across town a baby's first cry echoed throughout the halls of 12 Grimmauld Place, completely unaware of her foretold destiny.

YAY! for finally getting this up! I would have had it up earlier but I've had so much homework it's not even funny... :( But I have practically no school this month so that means plenty of time to work on this!

For the comments: I do NOT like the title I have chosen for this... I only put chose it because I needed something in order to put this up. If anyone has any ideas feel free to leave them in the reviews!!

Thanks for reading!
