Anna walked into the nearby bakery. It was relatively close to where she lived, she was surprised that she hadn't been in there before.
As she walked up to the counter to look at the colorful assortments of cupcakes, a beautiful curly brown haired boy came up to the counter. She couldn't help but smile at his emerald green eyes. "What can I help you with today, miss?" he asked. This was the first time she was nervous around any boys. "Umm.. I'm not ready yet." she quickly said. "Oh that's fine, take your time," said the boy, and gave her a flirty smile. He walked away to help another customer but Anna kept watching him. She didn't really believe in love at first sight, but with all of her strangely new emotions that took up her head and heart, she thought this may be what it feels like. She realized she wasn't the only one glancing. In the few minutes the boy had helped the other old lady; he had been looking over at Anna too, suddenly interested in getting to know her. He swiftly walked back over to her. "I think I'm ready now," Anna giggled. "So what can i get for you?" he replied with his deep husky voice. She couldn't help but swoon over him in her head. "I'll just have a red velvet cupcake please." "Alright... That will be $1.07, since they're now half off for the pretty ladies." Anna laughed at his cheesy line, but she liked it. "Thanks, and nice to meet you. I should come here more often," she said, with a bit of worry to what he might say next. Did he have a girlfriend? Was he...gay? There's no such thing as perfect guys... What's the catch..? "You should. I would love to get to know you more. My names Harry by the way." he gave her a reassuring smile. "I'm Anna, and sorry to bother you while you're working, I guess I should get going." Harry looked a little disappointed. "Oh yeah... I actually forgot I was still working." they both laughed. "See you around," Anna said with a smile. "Bye..." Harry replied, a little scared he may not see her again. But then he remembered he wrote his number on the receipt. He smiled, remembering how she checked the receipt and didn't question why his number was on there.
Anna walked out of the bakery and started towards her apartment building. She couldn't wait to tell her best friend, Adriana, what had happened. Only because Adriana would always push her to forget her hard break up before and see new guys. Anna knew she would be so excited, and couldn't wait to get home.
