Here is my first story that I have made for this website, it may not be the best and at first the chapters did start slow but it picks up great. Also I do not own Courage the Cowardly Dog. (Crap)
Attack of the Mushroom Men
Hot. The weight of the heat hung lazily in the air making it oppressive and unbearable on the small land of nowhere. Courage lay draped over the porch with his tongue out lolling back and forth. Muriel Bang sat peacefully in her rocker oddly enjoying this monstrously hot weather while her white hair glistened in the rays of sunshine. Eustace sat inside watching his favorite show and complaining about the heat.
"Muriel!" he shouted. "We need to get one of those new air conditioner things"
"Why would we ever do that?" asked Muriel now walking into the house "this weather is great and I don't what you to be tampering with my favorite season." Eustace grumbled something under his breath knowing that he would not win this battle and he would have to go out tonight and get one without her knowing. Courage now walking into the house noticed his parent's disagreement and stayed out of the way.
Later that night Eustace snuck out of bed and crept into his truck. With the turn of the key the old truck seemed to be resurrected and gave a low continuous growl. Knowing that this would surely wake up Muriel Eustace quickly sped away and on to the main road. The road went on forever without ever going anywhere. Finally Eustace found an unusual sign that said free air conditioner and a road leading to a suspicious rundown home. When getting out of his truck Eustace was met by a really creepy man. He stood three foot two. One of his eyes was higher and much larger than the other. He also had a hunch that contributed considerably to his height.
"So do you got that air conditioner here" Eustace asked?
"Yessssssss" the man hissed through his toothy grin "but there is one catch you must never let the water that it forms drip on the ground or else……"
"Yeah yeah I know some stuff about global warming now could I just have this thing?" demanded Eustace.
"Why of course" said the little man and he hobbled into the dilapidated house. Eustace waited for at least twenty minutes when the little man repapered. He was carrying a massive contraption that what seemed to be an air conditioner. It almost was demonic with spikes protruding in random spaces. This didn't affect Eustace at all and all it made him think was how he was going to get it in his window. The conditioner looked like it had a face which looked aimlessly into space with hateful eyes like it knew something that could destroy your every being. It also had a mouth which grinned and breathed a strange green mist that freezing to the touch. The conditioner was so heavy that it crushed the little man. Eustace then took the air conditioner put it in the back of his truck and drove away leaving what was left of the old man in the dirt.
When Eustace got home he put the air conditioner in the window (I don't know how) cranked the output to full blast which let green mist flow freely through the entire house and dropping the temperature exponentially. With this Eustace felt very proud of his new toy and went to bad. But outside the window mysterious green water dripped out the back of the conditioner and into the ground. Then some thing began to grow.
