Completely Crazy Contract Challenge
Hello everybody, I've recently been reading through some slightly creepy but also highly amusing crossover fics involving Harry Potter and the Addams family and have had this plot bunny raging in my head ever since and I thought it would make a really cool challenge. I've noticed that like soul bonds, there really isn't too much variety in pairings in the marriage contract scenario, so I'm picking probably one of the least likely pairings you can imagine.
Scenario and Terms of Challenge:
Harry finds out he was contracted to marry Wednesday Addams by his parents to save him from obscure laws which have been used by death eaters in the past to adopt the children of their victims and drain their vaults before killing them and that as a result of the contract becoming active, Wednesday transfers from Salem Witches Institute to Hogwarts and joins him and the Weasleys at Grimmuald Place.
Must begin in fifth year immediately after the underage magic trial though the marriage doesn't take place at least until the start of the sixth year.
Harry and Wednesday mustn't immediately fall passionately in love, though a quick friendship is ok as I can easily picture Harry and the Addams bonding over the fact that they don't do normality.
Harry must have at least one existing friend in Slytherin.
I'd prefer if Wednesday isn't sorted into Slytherin, as just about every single other crossover fic I've read puts her there, she doesn't have to go to Gryffindor though.
Must be: Smart, fairly wealthy but not obscenely so, political Harry but not I practically own England Harry. If you do founders heir Harry, please don't give him obscene amounts of gold and power to force through any rule changes he wants without answer.
No insane bashing, though mildly manipulative Dumbledore is ok.
No ridiculous levels of angst.
Everything else, including how you involve the remaining Addams family members and pets is entirely up to you.
