Hello all! I do not claim to be a huge writer of poetry (In my opinion, I think I'm better at novel-writing) but this is a little poem I though up while doing a writing prompt the other day. Please note that this is a description of the animosity between the two characters, Clare and Priscilla, coming from an observer's point of view.
Also, a disclaimer. I own nothing of Claymore.
Enjoy!
A Clash of Blades
Oh, sweet cacophony of flesh and steel
Sing of the dance between two ideals
Until one is defeated, and forced to kneel
That fatal blow, they strive to deal
...
Eternally bound by fate
The blood-wrath they wish to sate
In an unending cycle of hate
Where no one wishes to wait
...
A crash of two strong wills
An evil portent of doom
There, upon snow-covered hills
A lone warrior's foe does loom
...
Oh, sweet cacophony of flesh and steel
Sing of the dance between two ideals
Until one is defeated, and forced to kneel
That fatal blow, they strive to deal
...
Let sing your blade of steel strong
Stand firm against your foe
Avenge the one who did no wrong
Thus bringing the enemy low
...
Do not retreat, to fight another day
Give no quarter, 'til the enemy you slay
And so fight, until come what may
The clash of blades, heralds a death to pay
...
Oh, sweet cacophony of flesh and steel
Sing of the dance between two ideals
Until one is defeated, and forced to kneel
That fatal blow, they strive to deal
Well I hope you enjoyed my little attempt at poetry. Let me know what you think through reviews and know that constructive critisism is always welcome.
Thank you for reading my humble work,
