Chapter 1. At the movies.
The group of five are leaving the theater, Victor still drinking his soda.
"Wow, that was incredible! The way they portrayed the battle of Middle earth at the end, and the elves!" Said Victoria as they pushed through the rotating door of the Cineplex.
"The best part was all the blood and guts!" said Derek "Like when that giant ork fell off the tower!" he made a grotesque squelching noise.
"Oh, Derek, don't, that was gross." Said Sandra.
"Oh, no, it's raining." Remarked Victoria as they stepped out the door under the overhang.
"Wait here, I'll go pull the car to the front." Said Professor Peter, and dashed out into the rain.
The children waited patiently in front of the theater. But just as the Professor pulled around the front, a car splashed through a puddle, and when the water had run down into the sewer, the children where gone.
The next thing the children knew was it wasn't raining anymore, but sunny and dry. They were laying in a soft green field. Sandra was the first to get up, then Derek, Victor, and finally Victoria.
The four all stood and looked around them.
"Sandra? Where are we?" asked Victoria, holding onto Derek's hand.
"I… I don't know." Replied Sandra, bewildered.
"Perhaps we're in Middle earth!" said Victoria excitedly.
"Vicky, you're not thinking. We're at the movie theater, there is no such thing as middle earth." Said Victor, trying to calm her.
"Then explain why we are in a field." Said Victoria, stubborn as usual.
"I dunno, but we shouldn't just stand here all day. Why don't we try and find someone who can explain this to us." He said. "I say we try over there, towards those woods."
And so the children began walking towards the woods, and straight into the greatest adventure of their lives.
A/N: Soooo? What do ya think? This will get much better. I hope.
