A/N: Okay, before you begin reading, I just want to let you in on one thing.

This story will not be updated until I finish my first story, Bittersweet. So please be patient and no flames. And I know the first chapter is very short, but my next chapter will be longer. I promise. Oh, I almost forgot! This story takes place in the PpG universe, and (spoiler alert!) they will appear later in the story.

Onward!

Chapter 1

The Intended Apocalypse

The town was quiet.

The trees stood still, no birds chirped, and the people of the town walked in a strange way; they seemed to limp as they walked. But though they walked, not one word escaped their lips. It was as if they were existing, but they weren't living. And that goes for the whole town.

A tear slithered down her cheek. She stood by the window, silently watching the scenery outside as she cried. This was all her fault. She was the cause of this. Of this madness.

She turned away from the gruesome sight and slumped down to the floor, folding her knees. How in the world will she survive this madness? There was no turning back now; what was done was done. And she couldn't do anything to stop it.

Something caught the girl's eye, and she squinted to see the unkown object better. At the sight of it, however, her heart stopped.

There, standing peacefully on the living room table, stood a picture of both her parents. The picture was the complete opposite of what the world was now. Her parents were smiling and laughing and the scenery in the backround was bright and cheerful.

The girl looked down, and began to cry once more.

She stared at her ID from school. This was weird, as no one would probably be doing this if they were to be in her situation, but did it really make a difference? No one was alive now, anyway. What did it matter?

She glared at the girl in the picture, she glared at her name: Silver. That was her name, and she used to be proud of it. Used to. Now she was ashamed of her name - no, she takes that back - she was ashamed of her existence.

Silver wasn't the type of girl who would bully someone in school, or say something rude to a person just because she wasn't feeling well or didn't like them. So why would she do this? Why would she have a sudden urge to kill the whole town? Even her parents?

Even the meanest people wouldn't have done what she had done. Silver never knew this, although she did now, but the nicest and most sane people can be the most messed up of all.

And she was one of them.
