The White Wolf

Awakening suddenly, out of a deep sleep. Celia was screaming in terror;

The nightmare of the large white wolf will be on her mind forever.

It waited till her parents left, as it slowly crept;

Chasing her around the house, closer every step.

The morning finally arrives, and the day was great;

until her parents went out to celebrate.

She thought of the dream she had last night;

With her parents gone she had a fright.

She snapped awake suddenly, after just falling asleep;

Heard the creatures claws and knew she didn't want to peep.

It chased her down the stairs, and out the back;

She thought she could defend herself if she made it to the shack.

If she could grab a shovel, she could show it her wrath;

But when she looked ahead it was right in her path.

She ran around the house with lightening speed;

The wolf bit her leg and she started to bleed.

She heard the car, was it running away?

Or was it just hiding; be gone she prays.

To her horror he was poised to pounce;

She froze in surprise as her terror did mount.

As help was arriving he sprung to attack;

The wolf was upon her, no looking back.

The headlights upon him, it turned tail and ran;

Not before tearing her throat;

Her parents too late, never again to dote.
