"Knock it off, guys!" Naruto raged, jumping for his frogs, GamaKichi and a shrunken version of GamaBunta that Kiba and one of his friends had taken. He was holding then over Akamaru, ready to drop them in his mouth.
"You know, Akamaru loves frog legs." Kiba said, laughing as Akamaru jumped for the frogs.
Jutsu were forbidden on school grounds, plus GamaBunta and GamaKichi had no chakra, because they loaned all of it to Naruto so he could survive P.E. In Konoha, Jiraiya would visit to see Naruto when he could, but he always had to leave for his novels and things like that. He would act as Naruto's guardian when he was there, since Naruto had no parents, except in spirit. Jiraiya had given Naruto the frogs as pets, which Naruto treasured. Naruto would have taken the frogs back, but Kiba's friend was holding Naruto against a fence, and Naruto wasn't the strongest person in school.
"Please leave me alone, already!" Naruto pleaded for his frogs.
"Shut up, wart boy" Kiba spat at Naruto
Then, the lunch bell rang.
Kiba threw the frogs to the ground and his friend let go of Naruto. Naruto picked up the frogs and spat at Kiba, who would have turned around and tried to beat Naruto down, but he was hungry.
Naruto placed both frogs on his shouldered and walked to lunch. When in the cafeteria, he sat at the table near the exit, in the back. Alone. He picked up his packed lunch and pulled out home cooked stew that Ma Frog had cooked for him. Actually, the food wasn't half bad. Actually, it was good. Everyone walked by, grossed out at Naruto, and assumed it was bug stew. Suddenly, Sakura sat at his table, and he smiled, saying hi.
"Shut up, I'm only here because Choji was trying to steal my food." Sakura said mater-of-factly.
Naruto frowned. "Oh". "Well, we can still become friends, right?" Naruto asked, brightening up
"Err… no thanks." She said, as Choji sat down and left her alone.
Naruto frowned again. He would have been friends with Gaara, but he transferred to a Sunagakure school before he could go to the school Naruto was in. Naruto sat there, waiting for someone to try to be his friend.
Hinata sat down, shaking and blushing. "Hi, Naruto-kun" she shakily stated.
Naruto's face brightened up. Hinata would always sit with him, and talk to him. She always blushed at first, until conversation built up. She thought Naruto's frogs were cute. The problem was that they only had lunch together, and no classes.
Suddenly, Kiba came by and grabbed Hinata's chest.
"Hinata, why are you sitting with Wart fox, here? With a chest like that, you can do way better…." Kiba said smoothly.
"Leave me alone, Kiba" she said, snatching Kiba's hands off of her, only to have them put back there.
This made Naruto angry, and he jumped at Kiba. Using the Shadow Clone Jutsu, he pulled Kiba off of Hinata and undid the jutsu. Kiba would have done it again, but Hinata, in the whole times, was setting up a barrier from her chakra, one he couldn't see. She learned this Palms rotation technique from Neji.
Kiba left, and she undid the jutsu.
"Hinata, if Kiba keeps messing with you, tell a teacher. Since jutsu aren't allowed, I can't straighten him out myself!" Naruto exclaimed.
Hinata blushed as they stood up after lunch ended. Naruto chivalrously helped Hinata up and she blushed even more and left to her classes. Naruto smiled and waved. Then, free period started a couple of hours later. Then was when he noticed Jiraiya was at the closed door of free period.
"Hey, Naruto!" Jiraiya said, smiling
Naruto was shocked, and then flashed him a huge smile.
