SkyfallxKnight: Well it's important to your story soooo….
Mythological Creatures, Chapter 17: Halves, the Forbidden Beings
Halves are very strange beings indeed. Nobody knew how they came to be until about 50 years ago, when a Half was captured and observed in custody. It was discovered then that Halves are half-angel and half-demon. Hence the name. The reason they are forbidden: angels are not allowed to fall in love, let alone reproduce, and demons can't fall in love either.
It has been the law since the dawn of time itself, a mutual agreement between those in the Aether and the Nether, that if an angel and a demon make contact, they can be punished or killed. So for an angel and a demon to have a child is unacceptable; the penalty is death.
Halves can either have angel wings or demon (bat-like) wings. Bat wings can range in color from dark blue to black. The angel wings are white, any other color is simply unorthodox.
Unlike, demons and angels however, Halves DO NOT develop an ability and/or power. It is presumed that the angel and demon powers cancel each other out, not allowing for the Half to inherit or develop powers.
Hundreds of years ago, it was made known to the people of the world that Halves were extremely dangerous, and needed to be killed. That started the Half Hunts. Half Hunters gathered armies of men to kill Halves and their parents. It was not unusual (and still isn't) to see the hunters clip the Halves' wings or light them on fire before killing them mercilessly.
While there are considerably less Half Hunters today, there are still quite a few groups still in the business. The reason mainly being is that most of the Halves are either killed by the hunters or are found in the Aether/Nether and killed by order of Notch/Herobrine.
The most notable Half Hunter still in business today is Joshua Withurkins. He is known for the sheer amount of Halves and their parents killed. Last time he was seen in public, he had killed an astonishing 537 Halves and/or their parents. He travels the world on the job with his band of four other men.
The number of Halves alive has decreased significantly since Half Hunts began. With an astonishing 2000 (give or take about ten) alive before the first hunt, only about 50 or so are alive currently and in hiding. Very few Halves have been able to combat the hunters.
There are two reasons Halves are killed:
They polluted a divine bloodline.
They brought together two species that should never mix in the first place.
SkyfallxKnight: Well there it is, guys! Sorry if it's short but I will add more if there's anything else.
Sky: Please review and have yourselves a wonderful evening, everyone!
