Two Grace/Karen 100-word drabbles that go together, written for the "slashthedrabble" community on LiveJournal. These are both for Challenge #85 – David Bowie Song Titles.

An Occasional Dream

Grace was lying in bed in the dark, willing herself to calm down. She'd had another of the dreams again. She had gone nearly a month without one, and was starting to hope that they were gone completely, but she had known it was just a matter of time. She willed the memory of it to the back of her mind. She did not want to want Karen, and if she could only keep the memory of the dreams hidden during the day, she still hoped that maybe they would vanish, and any possible feelings would go with them.

It's Gonna Be Me

Karen really thinks that Grace should know her better by now. Karen knows about Grace's dreams. Of course she does. She always knows when Grace has had sex and who it was with, even if it only happened in dream form. But she says nothing, at least not yet. She lets Grace think she's ignorant of any feelings, and that there is no possibility of returned feelings. Leo is still in the picture, if only just barely, and Grace is still too confused. But in the end, Karen Walker will get what she wants, because she always does.
